-Bible -Several pens or pencils -Shorts: NO Soffee shorts. All shorts must be nger tip length or longer. No shorts or pants with writing on backside!! -T-shirts (lots - at least 2 a day); No tank tops, but sleeveless is allowed. Cut off sleeves must have a seam. -Several pairs of jeans/capri’s -Undergarments -Swimsuit (ONE PIECE ONLY! - no tankinis) -Shoes/sandals (no bare feet!) -Light jacket for rain or cool nights -Sleeping bag and one tted sheet -Pillow -Towe l & washcloth What To Bring -Cellphones, iPods, MP3 Players, lasers, etc. -T-shirts displaying alcoholic drinks, tobacco products, or suggestive sayings -No short-shorts, halter tops, spaghetti-strap tank tops, etc. -No magazines -Prank supplies -Super soakers, etc. -For Canteen (Snacks and Chick-Fil-A) -Also extra money if you want to purchase the band/speaker merchandise, rafting picture (HS), etc. Money 1 suitcase & 1 carry-on Sleeping Bag and Pillow WRITE YOUR NAME ON ALL!!! Camp 2011 Preview Guide -Toiletries -Sunscreen -Flashlight -Hat -Camera -Pajamas -Beach Tow el -Clothes to get muddy in and throw away for mud pit What Not To Bring 1) NO ONE MA Y LEAVE the bo undaries of Horn’s Cree k Retreat Center 2) CAMP COUPLES may sho w no public displ ays of affection during camp. This week is meant for you to focus on the LORD, not on each other. 3) NO PRANKS. Though pr anks many times are fun , they usually l ead to probl ems and often distract youth an d leaders from the main p urposes of Camp. No water guns, super-soakers, water balloon s, etc. Shaving cream may be used only for shaving. 4) SWIMSUITS mu st be modest and ap propriate, Guys must wear sh orts - no “speedos.” Girls must wear an appropriate one-piece - no bikin is, no tankinis. Cover-u ps must be worn to and from the water slides. 5) NEW THIS YEAR: Shirts can be sleeveless, but must have a seam. NO TANK TOPS. Also, plea se watch the neckline and t of the shi rt. Stomachs cannot show . Is the shirt too tig ht? Is it too short? Is the cut too low? Please w ork with us on this issue as we attempt to give God all of the glory and honor in everything we do, no matter how small it might seem. 6) NO Soffee shorts. No shorts or pants with writing on backside!! 7) SHOES of some k ind must be worn at al l times except during swimming, of course. 8) NO iPods, MP3 players, Game-boys, cell phones, radios, lasers, or other players or electronic games are allowed . 9) ROOMS ARE PRIV ATE. No guys in g irls’ cabins, and no girls in gu ys’ cabins. 10)LIGHTS OUT means that all rooms must turn all lights out and be quiet. Changing clothes and brushing teeth and all pre-bed stuff must be done BEFORE lights out. 11)STAY AWAY from all the sound and video equipment in the Main Auditorium. Very expensive! 12)ALL OLDER YOUTH are expected to take care of and protect younger youth. Older youth should look for opportunities to help, to share, and to encourage younger students. Guidelines 1) Keep noise to a tolerable level on the buses. The drivers have the nal say on eac h vehicle. 2) Please pick up after yourselv es. Throw an y and all trash in the trash can on the bus!!! We are ren ting these buses from a company outsid e of the church. Your conduct, attitude and cleanliness is a direct reection on Long Ho llow. Please do not give the drivers any reason to c omplain about our students! NO FOOD OR GUM! 3) Everyone is to be on the bus and ready to depart at the scheduled times. We will n ot wait for you...BE ON TI ME! Luggage Limit While Traveling
