our mission _

We strive to be a successful, expanding

company, a preferred employer and a recog-

nized leader in our solar energy world. We

believe that our success has been fuelled by

the reliable, cost-efficient products that we

provide to our satisfied clients. Our mission

is not only to utilize the expertise and

experience we currently possess but to

ensure that, in a continuously evolutionary

industry, we remain firmly at the forefront of

product development and enhancement. We

thereby ensure that we represent the com-

pany of ‘First Choice’ for our clients.

our company _

We, at Calpak, pride ourselves on being one of the

most reliable and cost-efficient providers of solar

thermal energy.

Calpak was originally established in Greece in 1976

as a subsidiary of British Petroleum (BP). We are

proud of being the first to have widely spread solar

technology within Europe. Calpak had an unrivalled

commercial success in the late 70s, at a time when

the potential for solar thermal applications was not

fully appreciated.

Page 3: Calpak-Cicero Hellas SA

By 1985 Calpak had already installed more than

200,000 solar thermal systems in the Greek market

(first organized solar market of Europe) and held a

domestic market share of 55%.

Since its formation as an independent Greek entity in

1989, Calpak has continued in playing a predominant

role in the provision of solar thermal energy. This is

evidenced by the successful export of our products to

over 40 markets around the globe, including some of

the most competitive and demanding ones.

With over 35 years of experience in our field we are in

the forefront for the production of innovative solar

thermal equipment at an unparalleled price to quality

ratio.

Our manufacturing capacity extends to flat plate

selective collectors, sandwich type collectors, vacuum

tube collectors, thermosiphonic tanks and floor

standing hot water tanks.

Our team of experienced and fully qualified profession-

als are cognisant of the industry’s latest cutting-edge

technology to ensure that every installation meets the

projected energy outcome of each system, the environ-

mental and building regulations and the high expecta-

tions of our valued customers.

Our corporate headquarters are located in central

Athens. Our factory, comprising a 4,500 square metres

production complex, is situated in Corinth on a 25,000

square metres site. Additionally, new production areas,

to meet our ever-increasing client needs, are currently

under construction.

In a competitive market, solar

thermal energy products represent

an optimum solution only if they

are designed and manufactured to

the highest possible technological

standards even in the absence of

governmental subsidies. We, at

Calpak, believe that renewable

energy must be designed to be

simultaneously cost-effective as

well as environmentally friendly.

innovation & technology _ Equipped with a wealth of technical know-how and a

heritage of Research and Development, our Company

had, as far back as 1976, invested in in-house state of

the art laboratory facilities. Our investment enabled

the calculation of efficiency measurements which in

turn led to further product improvement and placed

us at the forefront of technical development in

Greece.

Today, our R&D department is still dedicated to

ensuring the continuous enhancement of our existing

products and systems as well as the development of

new models in cooperation with leading international

and domestic research institutes and universities.

We always aim for higher efficiency and durability.

Furthermore, at all times, we ensure that the prod-

ucts we design make financial sense to our clients

who are concerned about the returns of their invest-

ment from an economical point of view.

Our innovative designs are materialised when our

products are manufactured in our vertically organized

and robotized premises. The quality of production is

guaranteed by standardised procedures and thorough

testing controls that are certified under the ISO

9001:2008. Moreover, Calpak’s collectors and hot

water tanks are certified with numerous international

and national quality marks, such as Solar-Keymark,

CE, CSTB, SRCC, SABS and O’solaire.

The compact thermosiphonic applications of Calpak offer the most convenient

and economically sensible way to harness the power of the sun. The bright and

simple concept of natural circulation makes these products reliable with low

maintenance costs.

M_ ark 3

Our best seller models which have been successfully placed on the market for many years.

Mark3 thermosiphonic systems are mainly character-

ized by their very high performance in sunny climates

and their unique durability. All models have a closed

curcuit and are equipped with sandwich type collec-

tors. The horizontal tank (designed by Interdomo) is

very well insulated and its durability is ensured by the

DIN 4753/3 enamelling procedure. Its range extends

from model 125/2 with a tank of 125 L and one collec-

tor of 2m2 to model 300/5 with a tank of 300 L and two

collectors of 2,5m2 each.

G_IGA Selective

When the latest technology meets the long heritage of Calpak in the designing of thermosiphonic systems the result is outstanding. The models of the GIGA selective line are equipped

with flat plate selective collectors and are available in

various sizes and supports (inclined and flat roof).

Good insulation of the tank is accomplished in

specially designed preheated moulds where eco-

friendly polyurethane expands. The tank’s inner

durability is ensured by the DIN 4753/3 enamelling

procedure. The range extends up to 300 L systems

combined with 4,4m2 of collectors.

Page 11: Calpak-Cicero Hellas SA

Acquiring such a system is undoubtedly the

easiest way to upgrade the energy efficiency

of one’s house.

V_acuum

When the sun’s radiation is not abundant and the benefits of thermosiphonic appli- cations appreciated, the Calpak Vacuum line is the right choice.

Equipped with our powerful VTN collectors these

systems deliver the maximum one can get from the

sun. They also feature a closed circuit with a tank of

similar quality to the one of Mark3 or Giga selective

line. The range encloses sizes from 125 to 200 L

available for flat and inclined roof types.

O_EM Line

Calpak is proud of having successfully undertaken a variety of noteworthy

large installations worldwide.

Large collective solar thermal installations are gaining momentum as a

result of their capability to provide greater exploitation of the sun’s radia-

tion. Additionally, they ensure improved cost-efficiency as this investment

can be fully amortized over a shorter period.

Our company has installed numerous central solar systems for hotels and

industries now operating in Greece and has supported many of our part-

ners around the world to provide high quality solutions.
