GREEK LANGUAGE IS A BRANCH OF INDO-EUROPEAN LANGUAGES , IT APPEARED 3,500 YEARS BC. THE

LATIN ALPHABET ORIGINATES FROM IT..

The vast majority of Greeks are Orthodox Christians and belong to the autocephalous Church of

Greece

The most famous national symbol for Greek is their flag. It has five blue and four white stripes and a white cross inside a blue square on the left up corner. The nine stripes symbolize the syllables of the words "freedom or death", which in turn is the national motto of Greece. The cross symbolizes the Christian Orthodox religion which is the official religion of Greece. The colors symbolize the blue sea and white waves.
