AS MUCH AS WE CARE FOr OUR GUESTS

We at Zen Cruises Pvt. Ltd. take our environmental responsibilities very seriously and are committed to reducing our environmental impact.

We are dedicated to preserving the marine environment in which, we operate. Hence, we believe it is our duty to introduce environmental practices, which set a high standard of excellence and responsibility. To support our claim, we have developed an environmental management system with an aim to get it independently certified to ISO 14001, which is the most widely recognised global standard for improving environmental performance. We recognise that without appropriate treatment the waste generated onboard our ships, together with the fuel and other products we use to transport, feed, entertain and take care of you could have an impact on the environment. Our waste treatment facilities ensure that all wastewater is appropriately managed to minimise its impact upon the oceans. All general waste is treated onboard to reduce its volume prior to landing ashore, and wherever possible general waste is recycled.

We are reducing our air emissions through the implementation of fuel efficiency measures, including improved hull coatings, low energy lamps, increased recirculation of waste heat and improved efficiency in air conditioning, and we continue to explore new technologies. Through these measures and other initiatives, Zen Cruises will ensure that we help preserve our environment for future generations.

  • Travel agents may impose their own charges in connection with a cruise. For example, the travel agent may charge a flat service fee for assistance with your reservations and a value-added charge for additional amenities or services being provided by the travel agent. In addition, travel agents may impose their own cancellation fees. Any charges or fees of this nature are a matter strictly between the Guest and their travel agent.

Can I join my cruise after it starts or disembark before it ends?It depends on the specific itinerary of your cruise, your nationality, and various India and foreign laws. Joining the cruise at one of its ports of call or leaving the cruise prior to its scheduled termination point may be prohibited by law. If you need to join late or leave early, or both, submit your request in advance and we will tell you whether your proposed changes will be permitted. For more information, please contact our customer care who would be happy to assist you. Please note that no refunds, prorated or otherwise, are granted to customers who join their cruise late or leave their cruise early. The Guest will be responsible for those charges.

What documents do I need to carry?Proper travel documentation like personal photo ID and eligibility (in all respects) to travel is required to be arranged by the Guest at the embarkation and throughout the duration of the cruise. For international itineraries, Guests are required to carry relevant travel documents including passport, visas and other immigration documents at their risk and cost. In addition to immigration and customs requirements, the Indian/ other governments and other agencies may place restrictions on the carriage of Guests. It is the Guest’s sole responsibility to ensure legal/ medical eligibility to travel and to bring and have available at all times, all required travel documents. Guests are advised to check with their travel agent and with the appropriate government authority to determine the necessary documents and travel eligibility requirements for their particular cruise. Jalesh at its sole discretion may cancel the booking of any Guest who is or becomes ineligible to travel for any reason whatsoever, or who is traveling without proper documentation. Under these circumstances the Guest shall not be entitled to a refund or compensation of any kind whatsoever. Under no circumstances shall Jalesh be liable for any costs, damages or expenses whatsoever incurred by any Guest as a result of such failure, cancellation or denial of boarding. Non-resident Indians/ International Guests are required to carry their relevant passport and other travel documents as prescribed by the government.

Health and fitness to travel by seaThe Guest agrees that he is fit to travel by sea and that his conduct or condition will not impair the safety of the Ship. Any Guest with a condition that may affect his fitness to travel is strongly encouraged to check with their personal physician regarding their ability to travel. It is advised that travel by sea involves certain risks and hazards including motion of the vessel by sea conditions, and the delay and/or impossibility of immediate evacuation from the vessel in the event of a medical emergency depending on the vessel's location and prevailing sea and

weather conditions. The Company shall have no liability and shall owe no full or partial refund in the event the Guest is refused passage or disembarked. Pregnant women are highly recommended to seek medical advice prior to travel at any stage of their pregnancy. Women who are up to 23 weeks pregnant at the end of the cruise are required to produce a medical certificate of fitness to travel. Limited medical services are available onboard the Cruise Ship as a convenience to the Guest.

Infant and minor policyInfants aged 2 years on the date of sailing or under sail free with their parents and/ or guardians. Guests are required to be 21 years of age or above (on embarkation day) to travel on their own. Guests not conforming to this policy will result in denied boarding and no compensation will be provided at embarkation. For additional minor age restriction guidelines while onboard, please check all other policies. Guests under the age of 21 must be booked in a stateroom with an adult who is 21 years or older. A parent or legal guardian must accompany Guests under the age of 21 and must be booked in the same or adjacent stateroom. The only situations where minors (under 21) can be berthed without an adult (21 or older) in a stateroom are when at least one parent is sailing or when the stateroom Guests are legally married. Acceptable proof will be required. These restrictions may be waived at our discretion, where applicable. All non-family children under the age of 18 must have a notarized letter from one parent or guardian authorizing sailing with the family, plus authorization to allow emergency medical treatment and any other permissions necessary while onboard. Grandparents or any other relatives cannot be a substitute for a parent. All school groups or college groups traveling with a chaperone must have waivers pre-signed. These waivers can be given to the Group Leader or Travel Partner from their Groups Agent at Jalesh Cruises. Please note that an individual’s age on the date of departure determines his or her status for the entire cruise vacation.

Travel insuranceThe Company strongly recommends that Guests obtain travel insurance to help protect against certain losses. We may offer plans through third party insurance companies that provide coverage for Trip Cancellation, Baggage, Emergency Assistance and Transportation, Medical and Dental coverage and more. However, such third party insurance companies are merely independent parties and Guests are liable to solicit them at their own risk and costs. Guest should be aware that some forms of routine health insurance do not protect Guests when outside of their usual location of residence.

Travel packages and shore excursionsShore excursions may be booked online prior to sailing up until the Pre-Sail cut-off time as notified on our website. After the online Pre-Sail bookings, the remaining inventory, if available, will be made available on the departure day onboard the ship. It is strongly suggested that Guests take advantage of ordering their shore excursions in advance, online, in order to avoid disappointment once onboard. Hotel accommodation and all transport (other than the Company's

Cruise Ship) included in Package Tours or Shore Excursions, are operated by independent contractors even if sold by Agents or Organizers onboard the cruise ship. The Company shall not be responsible in any way for the conduct, products or services provided by such independent contractors.

Our resident DJ will keep parties lively until it’s time to go late in The Dome with our premier DJ who will have your dance hits covered nightly. Whatever your preference we have a venue to match your style. Premium bar service, great music, good times. Please visit our website for an elaborate description of ever updating line-up of onboard activities.

How do I pay for onboard purchases? For your convenience, we use a cash-less system onboard. This system allows you to charge all onboard purchases by presenting the Access Card that is issued to you upon boarding the ship. The Access Card is used for all expenditures except for those few that require cash. An itemised statement may be provided to each Guest on request. It is extremely difficult to resolve corrections in the statement after you have disembarked, therefore Guests are strongly advised to contact our Guest Service Desk immediately upon realising any error.

Non-use or partial use of the ticketIf the Guest fails to board the Cruise Ship before departure, or joins the Cruise Ship at another port, or leaves the Voyage while in progress, the Guest shall not be entitled to any refund of the Fare unless circumstances in clause 7 and 8 of the Passenger Cruise Ticket Contract apply. The ship’s scheduled time of departure and a deadline for all Guests to be onboard is published in the ship’s daily program and posted at the gangway for each port (Embarkation Deadline). The Company shall have no liability whatsoever in the event Guest fails to embark the vessel before the Embarkation Deadline and in all such cases Passengers are responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs of transportation home, to the port of embarkation, or to another port to rejoin the Vessel (where allowed by law).

Safety & SecurityThe Guest shall present himself for boarding at least two (2) hours before scheduled departure to complete any pre-boarding procedures and security inspections. For security reasons, the Guest agrees that agents of the Company may search the Guest, his cabin, his luggage, and any accompanying property. The Company shall have the right to confiscate any articles carried or contained in any luggage which the Company, in its sole discretion, considers dangerous or

pose risk or inconvenience to the security of the Cruise Ship or persons onboard. Guests are prohibited from bringing onboard any article, which poses a fire hazard, or articles such as weapons, knives, sharp tools, dry cell batteries, blades, swords, firearms, contraband, ammunition, explosives, incendiary devices, or their toy replicas or other dangerous items are strictly prohibited aboard the vessel. The Company reserves the right to search any person, cabin, berth or other part of the Cruise Ship for security reasons at any time. Any Guest who refuses any such search or screening, or any Guest traveling with such items, may be denied boarding or disembarked and no refund of the cruise fare will be issued. The Guest will be solely responsible for any and all damage and/or loss caused by his violation of this policy.

Nature of cruise travelWhile we bring state-of-art facilities onboard for our Guests comfort, the Guest, without any demur, admits and acknowledges a full understanding of the character of the Vessel and assumes all risks incident to travel and transportation and handling of Guests and cargo. While at sea or in port the availability of medical care may be limited or delayed.
