Ministry & Fellowship Opportunities
Please respond to any of these opportunities via your Green Connection Card. Please place the card in the offering.
Today during social hour there will be a fundraising breakfast to benefit the
Camp Scholarship Fund. There will be a freewill offering.
Prayer is essential for our community! A new monthly prayer group is forming to intentionally pray for the people, ministry and mission of this community - and for the neighborhood beyond. The group will meet from 1 - 2 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, at the Trinity Neighborhood Center - beginning September 17. Please call the office or contact Penny Walkinshaw with any questions.
Resurfacing of the church parking lots~ Due to weather, resurfacing of the upper parking lot will be completed this coming week. The lower level parking lot should also be completed this week, depending on the weather. The church’s Facebook page, (TheHillBC) will have the most up-to-date information during construction. Thank you for your support of this project and flexibility during the process. We're almost done!
The Caring Crafters will meet on Wednesday, September 18, at 11 a.m. in the Bible Study Room. For more information, contact Sheila Livingston (269) 964-2062.
The Riverside Neighborhood Weekend Backpack Food Program has begun preparing for the new school year. In order to simplify the process, we are only asking for the below-listed items:
- 10.5 oz. canned soup, chicken noodle or tomato - 14-15 oz. cans of ravioli and spaghetti, etc - cereal - regular and single-pack boxes - juice boxes - 100% juice preferred - pudding (vanilla or chocolate only) or gelatin snack cups - pretzels, Goldfish, fruit snacks - Individually packaged
As we have for the past two years, we will again be providing weekend food for children at both Riverside and Minges Brook elementary schools, working in cooperation with Central Christian Church. You may also designate giving to the Backpack Program using your giving envelope or give online at our website TheHillBC.com. Please direct your giving to Backpack Program.
When possible, larger packs of 12 – 24 items are helpful. Please look for a collection container (separate from that of the Lakeview Food Pantry) in the upper level hallway. You can also help prepare the backpacks by indicating your interest on your Connection Card.
Thank you for your generosity!

The Telephone Reassurance Ministry is a program that reaches out to those
who are home-bound, caregivers, or desire to remain independent. We are looking for more volunteers that
would be willing to take an hour or two one day a week to call a handful of people just to check in and take any
prayer requests they might have. This is a great opportunity to care for our congregation and our community.
Please contact the church office, or Judy Phelps for more information.
The 2019 Crop Walk is Sunday, Sept. 29 at 2 pm at
First United Methodist Church. For information contact Bill Coller or
contact him by calling the church office at (269) 963-0231
The flowers in the chancel are given by Pat and Lou Miller in
honor of Toby and Amy Brevitz 30th wedding anniversary today.
If this is your first time, WELCOME! We’re glad you chose to worship here today. If you have any questions about the service, feel free to ask the people around you.

There will be three Everybody Always studies taking place along with the message series that begins today. These are a 5-week, video-based study written by Bob Goff and published by Zondervan. All of these classes are open to all – a short study is a great way to try it out!
The Adult Sunday School Class meets each Sunday from 10:30 am until noon in the Bible Study Room. The group will discuss the Bob Goff Book Everybody Always from the Sunday message series every Sunday in September. Anyone interested in viewing the videos related to each chapter are welcome to stop in.
Wednesday Night Wonderers will begin their Everybody Always study on September 11. This group meets Wednesday evenings, from 6 - 7 pm in the Bible Study Room at Chapel Hill.
Everybody Always at the TNC - A 5-week, stand-alone class will be led by Pastor Janet at the Trinity Neighborhood Center, on Thursdays, from 1 - 2 p.m., from September 12 - October 10.
