Asst. Principal & Counselor’s MessageDear PK-K parents,
Your children will be starting a reading initiative in the month of November. By the end of the year, PK will be encouraged to read 50 books and Kinder will be given the "100 book challenge."Reading is the key to helping our students succeed in all other subject areas and we are asking for your collaboration in this campus initiative. Idea Pharr wants to prepare your children to get "to and through college." The first step is in the early childhood grades. Together we can help them become avid readers.
Thank you for your commitment to your child's education.

Dear Parents,
We are so excited to have been able to celebrate with all ourstudents who are on track to be Word Masters or Millionaires this year! We had a great time at the theater with our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders, and without a doubt, 4th & 5th grade will also have enjoy their trip next week. Please continue to encourage your child to read every single day. Hard work pays off, and data shows that children who reach the Millionaire goal are successful in the state exam STAAR. We are excited for the month of November, and since it's a short month, children will be allowed to ARtest from home during the holiday break! Keep up the momentum and thank you for your continued support.
