I have helped keep the group in order when it comes to meetings and believe that I have also been able to assist the group in making decisions when some things were up for debate. Whenever a fellow team member was needing assistance regarding a task I feel that I was able to help when they needed it. I have really enjoyed working with my team members and have honestly honestly found myself learning something from them every day.” - Chase

Due to budgetary limitations, we were not able not purchase a larger sign for promoting the series and resorted to DIY with a sheet and paint. The image on the left is the Photoshop rendering of the sign, with the

final painted sheet on the right. The sheet will be featured in Cougar Mall as a promotion for the series, to compliment future tabling efforts

or events in Couagr Mall.

Our first assignment as a group was to create a Reserach Brief and conductprimary and secondary research into Millenial voting trends and apathyamong young and college-aged voters. Based off of our research, we came up with concepts and plans for executing events on campus, promoting political events, and encouraging voter

registration among CofC students

As a part of the Bully Pulpit series we are here to encourage and facilitate civic participation throughout the student community by providing a platform for dialogue with our nation’s leaders. Through town hall events with political candidates, voter registration drives, student debates, hosted media events, unique campus service opportunities, and relevant independent study experiences, The Bully Pulpit Series reinforces the message that the growth of our country is backed and guided by the process of citizen interest and involvement. MoMore specifically, as the campus promotions team we are in charge of signage.

Next semester we will be getting closer to the presidential election, which is on November 8, 2016; we will need to reinforce all promotions within the community and around campus. We will need to continue to create interactive and engaging signage and flyers related to The Bully Pulpit Series’ events and to promote civic engagement,

which will hopefully help acquire more people’s interest in wanting to get involved and to register to vote. We hope to improve civic engagement in the spring, because the first semester focused more

on pon promoting specific events. Next semester we plan to promote the actual series more, get more student involvement, and look into getting better merchandise to use as incentives,

which in turn will hopefully produce larger crowds at our events. We can accomplish this by creating social media competitions that require involvement with the series and give out these incentives at

events to produce a bigger turnout.

What We LearnedCampus and Community Relations Team Portfolio

18At first, our group members had to get to know each other

You can’t have a successful group if the dynamic is off. Our group chatted, texted, and found out each other’s strengths and weaknesses. The semester was off to a great start.

We dove right into the work at handWe started off the year ambitiously. Our team attempted to revamp the entire

brand image brand image by creating a new logo. Sadly, we weren’t able to ever finish a completed logo. Who knew creating a new brand image was so difficult?

Our team created snazzy signage and merchandise We created quality fliers, laptop stickers, and more like this series has never seen.

As it turns out, Taylor and Ashley are Photoshop and Design Queens. They cranked out awesome creations all semester.

The group also managed to recruit volunteers YYou’ve never seen a dream team like this one before. Our team not

only worked on the brand image, but we also managed to provide the events with student volunteers.

Through all of our work, we learned so much Email marketing, and brand management, and campaign outreach! Oh, my!

This team has come so far, and we’ve learned more than we can imagine. We’ve come so far, learned new skills,

and made it thand made it through… as a team.
