Children’s Church will resume in September. There are coloring books and crayons available in the back of the auditorium each
week to help you keep your younger children occupied. :-)
The Stories behind the Hymns
Next Sunday night, August 30, our contemporary devotional will focus on hymns and their origins. Our own brother Neil Smith will share one of his songs with us
along with the reasons he wrote it. We will be meeting an hour
earlier than we have in the past, at 6 p.m. Please come and
be encouraged.
Men’s Ministry: Hey guys, Let's get a group to go out together. Make it a date night or come along with your brothers! Regal Virginia Gate-way 14 Theaters in Gainesville will be showing “WAR ROOM”, produced by the same group that gave us “Fireproof” and “Courageous”, on Saturday, August 29th. Show Time: 2:10 p.m. Tickets are $12.50 ($10.00 for seniors) We will have some fun and maybe grab a bite af-ter the show. See Royce and Deborah Rollins, call them at 540-316-7380 or email them at [email protected].
All good things must come to an end:
Our LAST Wednesday night summer program is this week! We’ll be having a cookout at 6 p.m. followed by a short devotional and some fun activities for kids of all ages. Corn hole, a moon
bounce, Frisbee, and s' mores will be featured. PLEASE RSVP so we can plan for food accordingly.
Hope to see you there!
Volunteer Sign Up If you love Jesus, and love teens, WE NEED YOU! Check the youth
ministry bulletin board for opportunities to provide food, host events, or be a chaperone/ driver.
Jennifer O’Dell has a new cell and wants you all to know it: 801-668-7211.
Ladies: Secret Pals starts in September! Teens are welcome this year! Let Rachel Espino know if you are interested. Sign up on the sheet at the back of the auditorium-through August 30th. A ‘Meet and Greet ‘will be set up at the end of August.
We’ll be hav-ing a baby and
child dedication day September 13. If you would like your
child to be included in this time of blessing and dedication for our young
members aged 3 and younger, please let the
office know!
Warrenton Youth Group
5-7 pm: SNL @ the Church Building (Hooblers are hosting)
Come hang out, have some great food, and invite a friend (or five)!
Next week there will be no SNL due to the Contemporary devo-
tional’s 6 p.m. start time. Teens are warmly invited to attend.
Then, on Friday night September 4th, teens will be cheering for the Fal-
cons at the first Fauquier home football game. Game starts at 7 p.m.-
see Chris for details.
Check the hall tables for any of your belongings- all re-maining items will be donated Sept 2nd!
Ladies service project: bring your sewing machine and join us this Tues-day, August 25th, from 7-9 p.m., to make receiving blankets and burp cloths for the Pregnancy Crisis Center. Everyone participating should bring 1 yard of flannel, pre-washed and dried before you come. A 40% off coupon for JoAnns', usually available online, should make the project very affordable. See Cathy Ryon for more details. Other supplies will be provided. Thank you!

Furnish a Home Again needs HELP!
We need volunteers to help us out. Often we have no help at all picking up furniture. That's perfectly understandable- who wants to move furniture?! Also, for the past 2 years I have been left to my own to do community outreach, fundraising, paper-work, inventory, etc. Now I have the perfect opportunity for someone to help us fulfill an obligation to The Partnership for Warrenton. We agreed to give 5 hours volunteer work in exchange for participation in the First Friday events. On September 19 they are in need of volunteers to run their ‘Dining and Dancing under the Stars’. I have no time left in my schedule. If you can help send me a message to [email protected] or call (540) 219-1998. The First Friday events are an important part of our community outreach program. We need help pay-ing them back for the opportunity. Thanks in ad-vance!
Dana M. Griffith, President, Furnish a Home Again

Nancy Kolodner’s mother, Jean Spellman, was hospitalized this week and will have heart catheterization Monday- pray for a successful surgery.

Cary Renick requests prayers for his colon scar tissue issues.
Recovery of health for: Tom Cook, Katherine Wertz, Philip Gibson
