The Industrial Chemistry Seminar, better known as Seminar Kimia Industri (SKI) is an annual event organized by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, UPM. This event has started in 1994 as a platform for the final year students to share their research findings. In this event, representatives from industries and alumni of the Department of Chemistry come together to share their career insights and have a fascinating conversation with the students. In 2022, the 25th Industrial Chemistry Seminar will be held via an online platform to comply with the Standard Operating Procedure and for safety measures during this COVID-19 pandemic period.

To discuss the role of chemistry in the current and future developments of industrial technologies.

To expose students to innovations while aiming for the sustainability especially of the natural sources.

To establish linkages and greater co-operation between industries and institutions of higher learning and research.

To provide participants with exposure to various chemical industries and employment opportunities.
