More facts related to current Bye-Election:- The seat of Assembly Constituency of Bawana is reserved for Scheduled Castes

of the NCT of Delhi.

Out of 294282 General Electors, there are 4102 electors in 18-19 years age

group.

EPIC coverage and Photo Electoral Roll coverage of the Electoral Roll of AC-

07 (Bawana) is 100%.

VVPAT is being used first time in any election held in AC-07 (Bawana). EVM

(Ballot Unit + Control Unit) along with VVPAT will be used at each Polling

Station for polling.

Out of 67 polling locations, 51 are government buildings and 16 are private

buildings. During last assembly elections in 2015, there were 53 polling

locations out of which 42 were government buildings and 11 were private

buildings.

Out of 379 Polling Stations, there are 311 Polling Stations having less than 1000

registered electors while 68 Polling Stations have more than 1000 registered

electors

Average registered electors per Polling Location is 4392. Maximum number of

electors at one Polling Location is 10592 at MC Primary School (Co-Ed), Block

B, Shahbad Dairy and Minimum number of electors is 1423 at MC Primary

School (Co-Ed), Rajiv Ratan Awas Yojana, Pocket B, Sector-3, DSIDC Bawana

respectively.

One wheelchair at each Polling Location will be available along with the NSS

Volunteers to facilitate differently abled persons for casting their vote.

Availability of Minimum Facilities like drinking water, toilets, electricity, ramp

etc. are being ensured at each Polling Location.

04 Polling Stations located at Ravi Shankar Government Sarvodaya Kanya

Vidyalaya, Village Bawana are being setting up as Model Polling Stations to

make the experience of voting more pleasurable & comfortable.

Postal Ballot Papers have been issued to all 307 Service Electors.

As against the overall polling percentage of the NCT of Delhi of 65.63% &

67.12%, polling percentage in Bawana was 61.14 % & 61.83% respectively in

last two assembly elections in 2013 & 2015.

In case, an elector is not able to produce EPIC (Voters’ I Card), he/she can

produce one of the following alternative photo identity documents, allowed by

the Election Commission of India, for establishing their identity at the Polling

Station to enable him/her to cast vote:-

1. Passport;

2. Driving License;

3. Service Identity Cards with photograph issued to employees by

Central/State Govt. PSUs/Public Limited Companies;

4. Passbooks with photograph issued by Bank/Post Office;

5. PAN Card;

6. Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR;

7. MNREGA Job Card;

8. Health Insurance Smart Card issued under the scheme of Ministry of

Labour;

9. Pension document with photograph;

10. Authenticated Photo Voter Slip issued by the election machinery;

11. Official Identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs;

12. Aadhaar Card

Polling will take place on 23rd August,2017 (Wednesday) from 8.00 AM to 6.00

PM

Following Law & Order related actions have been taken so far :-

1. Seizure of Liquor (in bottles):- Country Made (8019 bottles and 16970

Qtrs.) and IMFL (3972 bottles and 8352 Qtrs.). 24 FIRs registered and 19

persons arrested.

2. No. of persons against whom preventive action taken so far is 522 under

different acts.

3. 64 licensed arms have been deposited and 05 unlicensed arms have been

seized. 02 FIRs have been registered under Arms Act and 04 persons

have been arrested .

Counting of the Votes will commence from 8.00 AM on 28 th August,2017

(Monday) at Swami Shraddhanand College (Old Building), Alipur, Delhi-

110036.

Useful information will be displayed outside the Polling Stations for

As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, official photo voter

slips are being distributed to the voters of the AC-07 (Bawana). In addition to
