By The River Up Down Up and Down Down the river here we go Left Right Left and right Down the river here we go Brrrrr...Brrrrr the engine roars Swoosh swoosh the wave go by Thats the music that sooths The ear , the heart Of the child born, out the river Of the child grown, by the river Look to your left, and greet Mr. Crocodile, on his feet Barring his sharp teeth Say goodbye, let us fleet Look to your right, it’s Mr. Prawn Swimming along at breaks of dawn Lets catch it now and make some money On we go, the day gets sunny That’s the life, the harsh and gold The memories that can’t be sold Of the child born, out the river
