Why Are They Here? Coyotes are here because a couple small things.

One reason why coyotes are here is that they have no natural predators in this area. Some of the coyotes natural predators are animals such as bears and wolves. Another reason that we think that the coyotes are moving to this area is because all of its prey is found in this area. For example, in the suburbs lots of deer and geese are found in this area, both of these things are prey to the coyote. Also another un thought prey of the coyote is frogs and fish. You might say “Why would fish be a prey of the coyote?” Well, Coyotes are very skilled swimmers and you might not notice it but the suburbs are home to lots of wetlands that could be a great home for coyotes and fish/frogs.

What We DidWhat we did to maybe solve some of these problems were informing kids at our school about the coyotes and what they can do. We also hung up posters and flyers all around the school and our community. We also handed out brochures to student and put them in our community too.
