I believe the cattle may be the best set of genetics that I have ever produced and have done an excellent job under extreme weather conditions present during the last year mainly the lack of rain, and it should be a testament as to what these Fleckvieh genetics can do.

The original south African imports changed the direction of the bhr program towards more emphasis on the convince traits such as: calving ease, fertility, udder quality and teat size, strong feet and legs, hair coats and calf vigor.

Permalia’s dam, bhr Kathie sA L055e, fast rose to the top of the heap, even though she was over shadowed by females such as Ashante, bhr texas rose, bhr Lady susi and others.

If you extend the pedigree, on PerMALIA, you will see that she is a double breed hadau with one shot on both the top and bottom side. If you then look at the maternal side she is double bred swaarbou Massie 78 with ashore on Voightland selli 71, which had to be one of the best Fleckvieh cows that ever walked the earth.

PerMALIA is A Draco daughter that brings a tremendous amount of power to the genetics which is the reason for the 7.4 birth weight but look at the calving ease number of 7.4 which is what it is all about.

Look at her length of spine and thickness matched by her width of base with a lot of rib shape and then look at the way she blends from her neck to her shoulders for the great feminine look.

There is only one more female from this mating and she is a spring born yearling that I will keep in my donor program. Permelia needs to be in a donor program as well. PerMALIA sells bred to halmark elite sexed female semen to add a new twist to a super set of Fleckvieh genetics.

Allie is as long as a well rope with a lot of natural thickness set on an excellent set of feet and legs. yes she has a white stripe on her but those genetics are in these cattle and they do come out from time to time.

I stacked the pedigree in the opposite direction in Jane’s pedigree and infused a touch of calving ease from Ashante. Jane started with an 80 pound birth weight and then went on to wean at 620 during a tough year.

Jane probably doesn’t have as much read meat as does Gladys but she has the depth of rib, width of base, strength of top and that perfect shoulder and neck structure.

her numbers do reflect the maternal line of Ashante that I added in comparison to Gladys number. not quite as much growth but better calving ease and birth weight.

If you look further at his progeny you will see that he transmits a lot of IMF which his numbers don’t show.
