Practitioner Coach

Coaching is a powerful tool for individuals who want to develop their skills and increase their effectiveness in the workplace and in their personal lives. It is a thought-provoking process that assists one or a group and teams to tap into their potential. It is defined as a confidential and a highly personal learning process. Busi believes that inner transformation is not a destination BUT a process. The journey helps people to connect with self, and this process helps people to acknowledge, define and refine their present in order to step beyond what IS, to make a prosperous and a transformative future.

How it works? By means of a dynamic coaching process, the clients’ understanding of their preferences, interests, skills and values are brought to the fore, assisting them to receive the opportunity to grow, to discover who they really are. This can be suited for those seeking to clarify their purpose in life. Busi has conducted various processes tailor made for certain contexts depending on client’s needs in work environments, entrepreneurs, schools, with civil society and other interest groups. What value does this add?

Investing in people development will lead to:

- Increased productivity - Increased positive attitude towards work/colleagues/family - Increased effectiveness - Achievement of higher grades in schools and workplace - Improved team work and spirit - Improved emotional awareness and stability - improved self-awareness, self-management and self- esteem

Summary of Key Projects

Facilitation of No-Name Initiative Dialogues – January 2016 to Present NNI (No-Name Initiative) was birthed from a dream to create access to deep transformative and healing processes and make that available to all citizens of South Africa. NNI is a hybrid organization (social enterprise), part company (NNI Dialogue Institute), part NPO (NNI Ignite). It started out as a big vision with a big heart of healing and transformation, a call to service and engagement, and a commitment to real action and accountability: to empower South African communities and help facilitate a pro-active citizenry. Facilitation of group transformational dialogues (up to 4 hours per session). Projects include: Oxford Press University Co-facilitating NNI Transformation and diversity Dialogues across the organization with the view to surface the systemic voices, process stuck energy, shift towards co-creating and prototyping emerging culture. (2010-Present). The Institute for Healing of Memories (IHOM) seeks to contribute to lasting individual and collective healing that makes possible a more peaceful, just and an equal future. I have contributed in the facilitation of workshops that are attended by mostly women who are from disadvantaged communities in need of a place to speak up about the domestic violence issues from their husband, partners from racial, religious and social backgrounds to reach a better understanding of themselves and that they valuable in society regardless of their present living conditions. The workshops supports the women and men to stand up for their rights and use justice and support platforms available to free themselves from the hands of the abuser. City of Cape Town (May 2019 – present)

- Facilitation of Focus Groups with the City’s Directorates to unpack the results that emanated from the culture assessment survey with a focus to dig a bit deeper into the City Pulse results and understand what’s lying behind them. To focus on brainstorming solutions to improve the culture. To identify behaviours that would make the biggest difference, and to understand what the staff needs from leadership.

- Facilitation of people management in development program and management development program

Pricewaterhousecoopers (PwC): June 2019- present

Facilitating Executive Coaching at Western Cape Provincial Treasury: Leadership Development

Dinaledi Educational Coaching: (2016-Present)

Schools with all the odds stacked against them can become functional, healthy schools – and good schools can become great schools. And a systematic, sustained, multi-tiered and professional coaching intervention is one way to achieve this. From the outset DEC joined forces with the Department of Education to launch interventions in selected schools, all high schools situated in needy, disadvantaged areas. I with colleagues at DEC who worked in these disadvantaged schools have witnessed positive change in the following areas: personal growth; goal-setting; learners more self-directed; improved academic results; positive mind-set; new ways of thinking; accountability; overall enhanced performance Gender Work: WomanKind under Tertiary Studies in Business Administration (TSiBA) (2015-Present) TSiBA is a unique, private, not for profit business school that helps students who cannot access opportunities to jump ahead in life. TSiBA does this by providing emerging leaders with full-tuition scholarship to study towards our high quality, accredited academic courses that are focused on developing entrepreneurship and leadership. Busi facilitates WomanKind Camp which falls under TSiBA’s Self-development and Leadership course. The workshop is embedded in exploring the deep feminine and life passage, which engages the women students in their life stages, the threshold crossed and those yet to come. It focuses on the beginnings, childhood, adolescence and first brave steps into adulthood, tracing useful and dysfunctional patterns and behaviors that have been born out of life-experiences. The women are invited to fully step in and BE PRESENT. With the rising number of killings of women from the hands of men TSiBA believes that women need to be capacitated and empowered to know their rights, know their worth and value in society and actually be feminists in their own
