Ÿ You'll discover how to use resources more efficiently,

improve stakeholder communications and multitask

in a more efficient manner.

Ÿ Project management training will help you and your

team communicates more effectively, resulting in less

downtime and smoother workflow.

Businet Systems Limited prides in being the first company

to offer MSP in East Africa. This was an inaugural course in

the region with Safaricom and Nairobi stock Exchange

being the lucky companies to have the experience. The

objective of this course is to develop and promote world

class programme management skills among programmes

and project managers while at the same time helping them

to achieve globally recognized certification in

programmes management. The methodology comprises a

set of principles and processes for use when managing a

programme which is made up of a specific set of projects

identified by an organisation that together will deliver

some defined objective, or set of objectives, for the

organisation.

he company has started an aggressive programme

to develop a pool of accredited trainers and Tconsultants to help it achieve its long-term

strategic objectives. It plans to recruit, train and develop a

team of suitably qualified individuals to offer training and

consultancy services in project management

(i.e.PRINCE2,MSP),IT service management (i.e. ITIL,

COBIT, ISO 20000), Software Management (i.e. CSDP,

CSDA) and Business Analysis (i.e. CBAP, CCBA). And this

being the first programme of its kind in Africa, the

graduates will be involved in numerous training and

consultancy assignments across the continent. We hope

this initiative will ease the burden of relying on foreign

resources thereby making the accredited services easily

accessible in Africa.

thOn the 25 of July 2013, Safaricom was a beneficiary of our

post training services when we held a PRINCE2 maturity

assessment which was based on PRINCE2 Maturity Model

(P2MM) and Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3)

with a view of enabling them gauge by assessment, the

maturity in the use of the PRINCE2 project management

methodology.

The main objective was to help employees who have

undertaken PRINCE2 course with us identify the overall

company's project management strengths and areas for

MSP in East Africa.

At Businet Systems Limited, we don’t just train but

also ensure effective implementation of Best

Practice Solutions.

® ®ITIL is a Registered Trade Mark of the Office of Government Commerce in the United Kingdom and other countries. MSP is a Registered Trade Mark of

improvement while at the same time building an action

plan to improve the effectiveness in the use of PRINCE2.

This was also expected in turn to lead into PRINCE2 being

embedded within the organization and delivery of the full

benefits of using a structured project management method.

It was also aimed at providing the basis of establishing the

maturity assessment process to determine the level of

maturity in the use of PRINCE2.

ood news for the PRINCE2 Practitioners is that

they can now enrol for an advanced PRINCE2 Gqualification-PRINCE2 Professional. This

qualification was launched by APMG on 30 January 2012.

The qualification assesses a candidate's ability to apply the

PRINCE2 method. PRINCE2 Professional has been

designed to assess the ability of holders of the existing

PRINCE2 Practitioner certification to apply the PRINCE2

method.

The higher qualification will help candidates to stand out

from the crowd. Peter Segal, managing director at

technology resourcing firm Ogilvie & Associates Ltd, said:

"Around 250,000 people hold the PRINCE2 Practitioner

certificate in the UK. Many more hold the qualification

worldwide. When my clients look to recruit, it is not a

differentiator any longer."

Unlike for the existing PRINCE2 Foundation and

Practitioner qualifications, the new PRINCE2 Professional

qualification will not require candidates to take an exam.

Instead, they will be evaluated during a two-and-a-half day

exercise at a residential assessment centre.

During the assessment days, candidates will be put into

small teams, given project case studies and asked to

demonstrate and give evidence of their application of the

PRINCE2 methodology. They will also be given solo tasks

and essays to complete. The evaluators will observe

candidates working on the case study and mark candidates

against 19 competency criteria, which include preparing a

business case, interpersonal skills, product-based planning

and capturing lessons learned. There will also be

individual interviews with an evaluator.

The pass mark is a minimum of one in each of the 19

criteria and a minimum average score of 1.6. To apply for

the new qualification, candidates must hold a valid

PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification. Businet Systems

Limited is expected to launch this programme in the

course of the year.

At Businet systems we understand the time constrains

faced by our clients. The good news is, we are now able to

offer flexible online ITIL exams at the convenience of the

delegates to help you save on this. You can now do ITIL
