Business Development Director Glasgow/London £100k plus benefits About The Client My client is a specialist financial services group which makes loans, trades securities and provides investment management solutions to a wide range of UK-based clients. They are a leading provider of employee benefit solutions for UK businesses with services ranging from solving auto enrolment problems to maximising employee benefits packages in full About The Role The role involves creating long term partnerships and developing business opportunities with UK based employers via third party professional connections such as accountancy practices, legal firms, payroll companies, intermediaries, affiliations and federations using the organisations full range of employee benefits solutions. In the immediate term focus will be capturing new business using their all-encompassing auto enrolment solution which includes a qualifying workplace pension scheme and auto enrolment software. Performance is defined in terms of developing new relationships and securing profitable business flows arising from these relationships. Create long term business partnerships with UK based professional connections Be able to articulate the organisations full range of employee benefits solutions in a compelling manner Achieve personal objectives in line with the organisations corporate objectives Demonstrate good knowledge of the pensions market and regulatory requirements of auto enrolment Have an understanding of the challenges faced by employers with auto enrolment Have an understanding of the challenges faced by the market and employers set out in the DWP Command paper as well as the ever evolving 'at retirement market' Demonstrate good knowledge of EBS auto enrolment solution and the organisations USPs Act in a professional and compliant manner at all times What They Are Looking For Understanding of the ever evolving UK pensions market Good understanding of auto enrolment solutions in the market Excellent relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills Understanding of, and ability to work within, the compliance environment At least ten years experience operating in the retail financial services environment with specific exposure to the UK pensions market Proven track record in business development role, preferably in pension industry or with provider background Existing professional connections preferable Qualified to QCF Level 3 or above Ability to demonstrate and understand the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management at all times
