Overall Conclusion
Walls with higher CR i.e. that contain adequate C-values and R-
values are preferred for minimising heating and cooling energy
consumption in all of the climate zones.
In many regions, the R-value of the wall system plays a significant role
in reducing energy use. However, with sufficient C-value, minimal levels
of additional resistance are required to achieve reduced energy
consumption.
R-value alone is inadequate to achieve desired energy
consumption levels.
Overall Conclusion
From a long term cost perspective, the optimal solution is to use
a cavity wall, with face brick exterior and add only the insulation
required for the specific building design and climatic conditions.
In some cases, a well sealed air cavity will suffice.

Benefits of RoxulEnergy Saver Cavity Wall Insulation
Contributes significantly to achieving a high
home energy rating.
Completely water repellent whilst allowing the
cavity to breathe.
Improves sound performance properties of
the wall.
Reduces heat flow through sun-prone walls in
summer.
Assists with thermal mass of cavity walls to
provide greater winter comfort.
Completes the building insulation envelope.
Installed in existing walls easily.
Made from 100% recycled material.
