How it all began?! As we know he began as a folk singer, he used this
to get onto CBS radio in 1940 where he had a show called Wayfaring Stranger and popularized many of his folk songs!
He had over 40 music albums throughout his career!
His very first movie role was in 1945 in a movie called Smoky
His first hit song was called Lavender Blue and was used in the film So Dear to my Heart.
