BV Services at early phase of the project (1/4)
► Why involve BV at feasibility/basic design stage ?
To deal with general public concern with industrial risk linked to a Offshore import & export facilities. Quickest regulatory approval
To guarantee to Owner/Operator that he is developing a First class project meeting highest international standards. Selection of best available technology
To assist in the identification up-front of major problems that could slow down the overall project implementation. Minimize environmental and societal factors.
To assist Owner/Operator in developing the highest local content throughout qualification/approval/evaluation of local market capacities.
To provide an Independent assessment of security of the facilities in particular at ship/shore connection. Strict Application of the International Ship & Port Security (ISPS) codes from IMO
To assist Owner/Operator at the definition stage through quantified reliability and maintainability analysis, in order to maximize Project availability and profitability. Asset Optimization based on our proprietary Optimize Software ®.

BV Services at early phase of the project (2/4)
► BV provide permitting assistance :
Carry out soil analysis including measurement and evaluate Geotechnical Risk or Seismic Hazards identification. Seismology versus Safe Shutdown Earthquake (SSE) and Operating Basis Earthquake (OBE) will be analyzed
Recommendation of soil remediation, if necessary. Site often on soft coastal sediments or reclaimed lands requirement piling or soil improvement
Risk assessment linked to adjacent facilities, optimization of lay-out following hazard identification techniques. Least environment impact
►BV provide design review :
• Design review is covering all disciplines such as civil work, process equipment, piping network, electrical equipment, DCS, safety equipment and systems
• Design review can be performed at conceptual design stage or detailed design stage. Design requirement and near shore constructability can be assessed
• Design review is performed using international standards API, BS, EN or national/international regulations
• Development of over Quality Plan to insure smooth project development
