Building Futures Together - Our Schools Strategic Directions
“All parents want the very best for their children. In education, this means
teachers and schools with a commitment to nurture, guide, inspire and
challenge students to find the joy in learning, to build their skills and
understanding, and to make sense of their world. In the early years, it means
having confidence that each individual child will be known and understood,
and their individual potential developed. As students progress, it means
knowing that they are well supported as increasingly self motivated learners,
confident and creative individuals, with the personal resources for future
success and wellbeing.” Taken from the NSW Department of Education School
Excellence Framework.
So what does this mean for our school and our community? As we look toward
the future of education at Ardlethan Central School we need to take a step
back, reflect on and evaluate what we have achieved and look toward where
we want to go to next. To get a true picture of what we need, this reflection
and evaluation needs input from our whole school community, our students,
our parents and carers, our community members. Over the next few weeks we
will be asking you to help us with this. We look forward to some robust
discussions about educational opportunities at Ardlethan Central School and
working with you to set our directions for the next three year.

Thank you to our wonderful P&C Our hardworking P&C have recently purchased a large refrigerator to be used for the
storage of students lunch boxes and water bottles. This is a fantastic idea which will
allow students to make sure they have fresh food, especially during our very hot
summers.
A note will be issued to families outlining the procedures for use of the refrigerator
which will be available for use from Week 3

titled ‘Kids Vs Wild: Wilderness Survival’.
Throughout this project, students will be en-
gaged in a range of hands-on learning activities

theory behind it.
Each week we will bring you a brand-new epi-
sode of students’ achievements and learning.

Primary Afternoon Organisation At 3pm each day Primary students meet in the K/1/2 Room before being dismissed for the afternoon. It is important that if there are changes to your child’s organisation for the afternoon that you let the school know so that we can ensure students are heading in the right direction. This is especially important if students are changing which bus they are going on.
ATTENTION: Direct Credit Payments
As from 10th February, 2017, Ardlethan Central School is
no longer able to receive direct credit
payments due to a new system upgrade (LMBR)
being implemented.
Once the LMBR system is operational we will resume
electronic payment and will advise how to make
payments.
Hopefully by October 2017 we will be able to accept
direct deposits by the POP System
