• Dial Up Network Card• Sound Card• RAM• Floppy Disk Drive• CD ROM Drive• Hard Drive• Motherboard
We started with a Dell desktop PC
And off comes the cover…
• Our first step was to snap the cover off.
• The side panels were easy to snap off.
Get out the toolbox!
• Next we unscrewed the Power Supply. We had to rotate the Power Supply up in order to get to the screw.
• Then we unplugged it and snapped it out.
And there it is…
Next up personal AC
• Then we focused on the Cooling Fan.
• There were 4 little screws that we unscrewed and unplugged the power line.
Cooling Fan…Check!
Connections!• Now we disconnected
the drive cables. • These are ribbon cables
which connect the hard dive and disc drive to the motherboard.
One more…
• We removed any wires that were left.
Onto the PCI cards
• Next we unscrewed and removed the PCI cards. The first one was the Network Card.
Wait…there’s more!
• We unscrewed and took out the BIOS.
