Myths about the apocalypse, or the end of the world, have been circulating
around the world recently. The ancient Maya civilization of Egypt claims that the
world will end on December 21, 2012. The Mayans are renowned for their precise
calculations. According to the Mayan calendar, December 21 will be the last day
of a significant 144,000-day cycle.
Given what the Mayans have calculated, does it mean that the end of the world is
near? It depends on what you believe in. People who believe in the apocalypse myth think that
the Mayan calendar cycle, along with the world, will end on that day. If you believe in science
and technology, then don't worry. Numerous scholars have proved that the date of 12.21.2012
is in fact a calculation mistake of the Mayans. Both the U.S. space agency (NASA) and the
Vatican have recently reassured the public that the world will not end on this day.
In BSTC, December 21, 2012 has another name: the beginning of the winter holidays!!
I am going to spend my
whole holiday by myself in
southern India. I will first fly
to the city of Cochin. After
that, I will go to Chennai,
which is the capital city of
the Indian state of Tamil
Nadu.
1. Get a copy of the latest issue of Sin Tak Spirit.
You’ll have something good to read while waiting for the end of the world to come.
2. Spend time with the people who you love the most.
3. Spend all your savings on travelling around the world or do whatever you’d like.
4. Take the deepest breath that you can possibly take.
You may be able to live a few minutes longer than the others.
5. Call Santa Claus to get him to come save everyone.
6. Eat as much as you can at the most expensive restaurant.
You won’t need to worry about gaining weight or spending too much money.
7. Watch all of the best disaster films ever made. You will know exactly what to do when a tsunami,
avalanche, and earthquake all happen at the same time.
8. Yell out all of your secrets. This is the last chance to confess your secret admirations, declare your
wishes, and admit your sins. It’s now or never!

Do you still recognize the singing performance
given by our class last year? We sang an
acoustic version of the song “I’m Yours” by
Jason Mraz. Not only could we show our flair
for music, we also had a valuable opportunity
to bond with each other. Though we came
second in the end, it was the first time that it
felt like 6A classmates were getting close. This
feeling will never fade.
– This is an improvised slogan created by one of our lovely classmates, Jack, on Sports Day.
Let us shout our slogan loud and clear again: 6A spirit, debit credit!
Here are some handsome guys from 6A.This photo was taken
during the etiquette class in July, 2012. Boys from 6A are
energetic and smart. As a member of 6A, we will endeavour
to reach our goals and dreams. With the support of our
classmates and our dedicated teachers, we can surely achieve
our aspirations in the future!
October 25, 2012 – Our final sports day was a big day for 6A.
After a month-long preparation, our “masterpieces” - from
the class tee shirts to the handmade banner - finally shown to
the whole school.
You may wonder
why we used
canvas to make the
banner rather than
using traditional
materials. That’s
because 6A wants
to stand out from
t h e c r o w d ,
emphasizing our
desire to be unique.

We Cherish What We HaveWe Cherish What We HaveWe Cherish What We HaveWe Cherish What We Have
The past three years of our studies can be described
with one word - fruitful. We reached numerous achieve-
ments in different domains. We treasure what we have
experienced and achieved. Most of all, we treasure the
We have been in the same class for three years. De-
spite the small quarrels, we have developed strong bonds
with our classmates, always helping each other without hesitance. Moreover, some classmates have raised the awareness
of environmental issues in BSTC, launching some “green” activities such as the free-cycling platform scheme and the
green-based city hunt. The “green” concept is deeply-rooted in our minds, and we know that we have to cherish what we
have.
We cherish our achievements in various activities. 6B is laden with talents in different aspects. With our unity and ef-
forts, we won both the inter-class volleyball and singing contest last year. Through these competitions, our friendships
have strengthened. As individuals, some of us excelled in inter-school and even nationwide competitions. For example,
Cherry was a “Star of Literature in Hong Kong”, Zoe was the “Outstanding Student of Kwai Tsing”, Amy attained merit in
the International Students’ Visual Arts Contest-cum-Exhibition, Thomas came in second place in the inter-school badmin-
ton competition, while some classmates reached the quarter-final of the Hong Kong-wide NESTA debating competition.
We cherish not only the awards and titles, but the experience and what we learnt from the process.
We hope all of us can perform well in DSE and cherish what we have gained. And, of course, we will strive for our

Time flies as quickly and as silent as and
autumn breeze. Time has taken away the
distance between each of us. Time has allowed
us to better understand each other in 6C.
In these three years, we have made a lot of fond
memories. We studied together, hung out together, sang together, performed our
choral speaking routine together. We have shared joy and glory while encouraging
each other.
We thank those who have shared their own
experience, taught us knowledge and skills, and
chatted and spent time with us. We have learnt
much and have grown up, equipped with the skills
to face the challenges in the near future.
These are the teachers of 6C.
Who are we?Who are we?Who are we?
We are 6C!We are 6C!We are 6C!
These are the members of 6C.
Once there was field of pink seen on the sports ground.
Once there was a pink flag waving under the sun. No matter how quickly time has passed,
these memories have been engraved in our minds and will always stay in our hearts.

‘GOD’ OF BASKETBALL
6D---These words will stay in our hearts forever. We
will never forget the experience of studying in 6D for
the past three years. The main reason is - ‘We are not
alone, we believe and finally we did it!!’

Champions of the Inter-Class Basketball Competition
Basketball may be the symbol of our class. Being the
champions of the Inter-Class Basketball Competition is an easy
task, of course (HAHA!!). We still remember the scene where all
of us were standing on the side of the basketball court, showing
our ‘ultimate’ support for our players. We certainly believed
that their sweat would not be wasted. And finally, we showed
that we could triumph. This was possible simply because we
believed we can succeed!
Singing contest—A memorable experience ‘Baby you light up my world like nobody else…’
Yes, these are lyrics from a famous song by ‘One Direction’, and they
also symbolize the unforgettable experience of studying in 6D. We will
never forget how we overcame all difficulties and sang proudly on stage.
Although we didn’t win any prizes in the singing contest, at least we found
that we have irreplaceable friendships. We discovered that we are a team
and not just a group of individuals.
As described in the lyrics, everyone in 6D will light up each other.
Whenever someone felt depressed, all of us would generously declare our
encouragement and support. Perhaps this is what is really meant by “team
spirit”. ^-^
Our journey in 6D wasn’t just about the singing contest and the basketball competition. There were many other
experiences that we had together. Despite all the conflicts and difficulties that we faced, We are certain that our team
spirit and our beliefs are the greatest driving force for us to succeed in the future. We just hope that in 30 years, we will
still remember all of our classmates. Why? Because we are honoured to have studied in 6D, and we have met the best
group of classmates in the whole world!!
We want to thank all of the teachers who have taught our class in the past three years. And here is a sincere thank
you to our class teachers Ms. WY Ng and Ms HL Lam. Without your leadership, we won’t be the 6D that we are today!
