Watercolor artist JamesToogood will present at theNew Hope Art League meet-ing at St. Martin of Toursschool, 1 Riverstone Circle,New Hope, at 7 p.m. Tuesday,Oct. 4.
Members and guests arewelcome.
An artist, author andteacher, Toogood paints thepeople, places and things thatmake up contemporary life.
He studied painting at thePennsylvania Academy of theFine Arts (PAFA). His work hasbeen in more than 40 solo showsand hundreds of groups shows inthe U.S. and abroad.
Toogood has won the 2010Allied Artists of America “GoldMedal of Honor” for best in show,among countless other awards.
He’s a signature member ofmany art organizations, includingthe American Watercolor Society,
Allied Artists of America, theNational Watercolor Society,PAFA Fellowship and AlumniAssociation and the PennsylvaniaWatercolor Society.
He’s contributed to more than20 books and written “IncredibleLight and Texture in Watercolor.”
Toogood teaches at PAFA,National Academy of Design inNew York and the Perkins Centerfor the Arts, Moorestown, N.J.

Fifty people who have given ofthemselves to the arts and thecommunity were honored at apre-show party Sept. 8, for theArtists Alive Art Show and Saleat New Hope Arts. They allreceived the Benjamin ParryMedal of Recognition.
The Artists Alive Art Showand Sale, sponsored by the NewHope Historical Society, tookplace Sept. 9 through 11, tohonor and celebrate living BucksCounty artists.
The top 25 works from the 122Bucks County artists – selectedfrom the more than 400 submit-ted – received the BenjaminParry Medal of Recognition.
