Automatic Verification System

An international ID smart card (ICC) could be issued to all watchkeeping officers with their:

• Nautical certificates

• Cargo related certificates

• Radio certificates

• Pilot exemptions certificates

• Actual time on watch

Automatic Verification System

The officer ”check in” for watch keeping on the bridge’s card reader which is connected to the AIS system

The infomation will be matched against data bases ashore

In case of discrepances with any regulation, Traffic centers will be alerted
