Beverage ArrangementsThe Salt Lake Marriott City Center via Club Piastra is the only licensed authority to sell and serve alcohol in the premises; therefore, alcohol is not to be brought into the hotel. Under the provisions of our liquor license, The Utah Department of Alcoholic Control requires a membership applications be completed and submitted by sponsoring member for events serving alcohol. Applicable Service Charge of 20% and applicable sales tax will be added to all Host Bars.

Hosted: Bar expenses are incurred by and the responsibility of the event sponsor. A hotel bartender is required for all events serving alcohol. The bartender fee is $75.00 for the first hour and $25.00 for each additional hour. For groups less than 50, an additional $75.00 bar set-up fee will apply. One bartender per 75 guests maximum, required on all hosted bars.

Cash: Guests are responsible for paying for their entire purchases. A hotel bartender and cashier are both required on all Cash Bars. General Wedding Information

Wedding Catering Policies

The following policies have been established to assure you and your guests have a pleasant and organized wedding celebration.

Deposit

A $1,000.00 deposit is required for all wedding events. This deposit is non-refundable, but is applied to the final bill upon conclusion of the event.

Payment and Billing

All charges are to be paid in advance. Social Events are not eligible for direct billing approval. All wedding events requirepayment in full of estimated charges (3) business days prior to event. All banquet checks will require a signature by the event contact at the conclusion of the event

Guarantees

A final meal guarantee is required by 12:00 PM MST (3) business days prior to your event. The client is responsible forcalling in a final guarantee and is not subject to reduction. Ifguarantee is not received , the hotel will base final billing on the original contractual number of guests.

Your original contractual attendance may decrease by a maximum of 15% without obligation or fee assessmentprior to guarantee deadline. Should the original numbers decrease by more than 15% the variance will be billed based on average check prices.

Menu Selections

Catering functions require a minimum of twenty (20) people. The Salt Lake Marriott City Center does not allowany outside food or beverage to be brought into any of its catering facilities. All food and beverage must be purchased through the Marriott City Center catering office. Menu selections and event details are due no later than twenty-one (21) days prior to your scheduled function. All lunch buffets require a minimum guarantee of twenty (20) people and dinner buffets require a minimum guarantee of twenty-five (25) people. Displayed hot items may be left out for a maximum of two hours. On all double entrée requested menus, the higher price of thetwo menus plus a $2.00 per person surcharge will be assessed. Our in house vendor, Davis Audio/Visual, exclusively provides all Audio/Visual service. Should an outside vendor be used, an operator fee will be assessed for a technician to maintain hotel standards.

Assignment of Banquet RoomsMeeting and Banquet Rooms are assigned based on the anticipated number of guests. The Salt Lake City Marriott City Center reserves the right to move banquet rooms other than those appearing on the cateringevent order upon informing the bride and groom. If the number of guests or set-up requirements changes, amore suitable room may be assigned.

Food & Beverage CancellationAll cancellations must be made both verbally and in writing to the wedding specialist. Should cancellationof the event occur after the contract has been signed, the following charges will apply: •180-91 days prior to arrival: 25% of anticipated food and beverage charges will be billed based on average check of meal period (s).•90-60 days prior to arrival: 50% of contracted food and beverage total charges will be billed based on average checks of meal period (s).•59-32 days prior to arrival: 75% of contracted food and beverage total charges will be billed based on average checks of meal period (s). •31 days or less to arrival: 100% of contracted food and beverage total charges will be billed based on average checks of meal period (s).

Alcohol ServiceThe Salt Lake City Marriott City Center via “The Club at Piastra” is the only licensed authority to sell and serve liquor on the premises. Therefore, liquor is not to be brought into the hotel. The Salt Lake Marriott CityCenter requires a bartender for all events where alcohol is served. Bartenders are billed at $75.00 for the first hour and $25.00 per hour thereafter. In order to consume or purchase alcohol, proper identification may be required to verify age. We reserve the right to refuse service to any persons who do not display identification or may appear intoxicated.

The Salt Lake Marriott City Center offers an exciting array of specialty rental enhancements to create the right motif for your wedding event. Glitter, smoke machines and confetti are prohibited.

If the client delays an event for more than 30 minutes past the contractual start time, the hotel will not be responsible for the quality of food or preparing additional food replacement. The client will be responsible for additional labor associated with the delay.

ImpossibilityThe Salt Lake City Marriott City Center reserved the right to terminate this contract if management decides that there has been a misjudgment or misrepresentation in the booking, or if the group’s intentions appear to becontroversial or destructive to the hotel. The hotel may also terminate the agreement if circumstances are encountered that make it inadvisable to provide facilities to hold the event.

Delays

Labor ChargesA $95.00 labor charge will apply to all food and beverage functions with a guarantee of 20 or fewer. Changes tofunction room set up on the day of event which vary from the signed banquet event order will be assessed a $150.00 re-set charge.

The Salt Lake City Marriott City Center reserves the right to make the decision to move any outdoor function toan indoor facility in the event of inclement weather or predicted inclement weather. Parties will be moved indoors due to wind, rain, snow or the forecast of such. The decision to move the function will be made four (4) hours prior to the start of the function.

ParkingSelf-parking is available complimentary to your guests attending the event. Parking validations will be presented to you at the start of your event. Current Parking charges for overnight guests are $12.00 self-parking; $14.00 for valet parking.

Outdoor Events

Special power / electrical services are available.

SecurityThe Salt Lake Marriott City Center cannot assume liability or responsibility for the damage or loss of personal property or equipment left in any banquet room. The hotel may require the client to provide uniformed and certified security staff for selected events.

All signage that is provided by the client must be professional in design and is to be approved by your wedding specialist in advance. No signage is allowed on the guest levels, elevators or hotel lobby; unless otherwise noted. Nothing may be taped or tacked to the banquet room walls. A hanging fee of $25.00 per banner is applicable.

Sub-contractorsClient agrees to have all sub-contracted companies (e.g. florists, bakers, musicians, decorators, etc.) abide by all hotel policies and regulations. It is understood that all premises will be left in a neat and orderly condition, free of debris or display refuse. The client is liable for any charges associated with damages to the premises and for the removal of all items brought in for the event.

Signage/Banners

The Salt Lake City Marriott City Center will be glad to assist you with your wedding ceremony. To do so, acatered food and beverage function must be booked. The rental for a ceremony room is $2,000.00. This will include the set-up, chairs, and clean up of all ceremony activities.
