Alicia Sama was born and raised in hendersonville north carolina and

graduated from appalachian state university in boone, nc. With her

degree in Parks and Recreation she was the aquatics coordinator for a

YMca, equestrian Director for a summer camp and then pursued her love for

teaching in middle and high school college incentive programs. During her

spare time and summers off, alicia taught riding lessons to beginners and

adults who are riding for their first time or who are conquering fears of past

experiences. her experience also includes training green and young horses,

organizing riding camps, managing barns and always participates in

clinics/lessons to keep herself and students up to date on equine knowledge

and riding skills. she combines her experience with teaching and training with

the community to bring exceptional equine opportunities to bright’s creek.

Griffin Graham, barn Manager at 18, started as a saddlebred show groom

to 1/4 mil dollar horses. she then started his life teaching beginner children

and adults focusing on safety and the fun and joy of horseback riding.

Then turned to her true love of dressage and started riding at a beginner

eventing barn in inman. it was there she learned how to care for the horse

while under saddle and how to really communicate with them. in 2009 she

became our equestrian manager and began riding with our own Martha

love. it was during this time she could really share the love of riding and

caring for horses to members through trail riding, pony rides, lessons, and

taking care of boarders. “i am lucky enough to work in such a beautiful

place with such wonderful people. i love teaching members and guests

and showing off our beautiful valley on horseback through our trails.”
