CHAU DIN MING JOSEPH, FICS Elected Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in 1976 and served on the Committee of Hong Kong Branch in 1978. Re-elected ICSHK Executive Committee member in 2015 and have served on the committee since then. Presently Chairman of ICSHK. Began my career in the Shipping industry in 1971 working as a trainee shipbroker at Matheson Chartering Ltd London, a subsidiary of Jardine Matheson, gaining experience of many facets of shipping practice in the City of London. Presently Managing Director of Island Ship Management Ltd, a Hong Kong based Ship Management Company. Involved in different sectors of the Shipping Industry including Shipbroking, General Cargo, Container Trade and Terminal Management during the past 35 years. Worked at Hong Kong Islands Line (1972-89), appointed as Director of in 1978. Appointed to the Board of Asia Terminals Limited in 1986 (1986-89). Worked in USA briefly and prior to returning to Hong Kong, was Deputy General Manager of EAC Transport Pacific Centre (1989-90) Elected Associate of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators in 2016. Appointed member of the Maritime Services Training Board of Vocational Training Council in April 2017. 02. CHEUNG, SHUN MAN (MANSON) , FICS MAARB, FCIARB, FHKIARB, HKIAC/HKMAAL Accredited Mediator Ex-mariner, experience as Port Agent, Charterer in trading firm, Ship Manager, Ship Owner, Chartering & SNP Broker. Part-Time lecturer in Associations/ Colleges/Universities for shipping related subjects from 1992 to now. His more than three decades of hands-on experience in Ship-Management, Conversions, New-Buildings, Ship Sale & Purchase, Chartering & Marketing to acquire cargo contracts has enriched his contributions in various industry forums, such as the Shipping Consultative Committee HKSAR, HK Technical Committees of Lloyd's Register and Class NK. Jagmeet has a history of building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders, especially with cargo clients, charterers, ship-owners, shipyards and financial institutions. Previously with Noble for close to nine years, Jagmeet has extensive experience in Panamax and Capesize chartering, joint-ventures, project management and risk evaluation. 08. P.C. Li, FICS Started his shipping career with Farenco HK. Thence worked as a professional shipbroker in Hong Kong Chartering Ltd and Wallem Shipbroking. In 1997, he formed his own shipbroking company P.C. Li Shipbrokers. Joined ICS, HK EXCO in 2013. 09. law & Commercial Law in LLB programme, part time lecturer with HKMA teaching Business Law & Law of Carriage of Goods by Sea for over 10 years. 10. CAPT. SURESH PRABHAKAR, FICS After spending several years at sea on bulkers, tankers, reefers and container ships, mainly with the Jardine Matheson Group in Hong Kong, including 4.5 years as Master, Suresh came ashore with the same Group in Hong Kong in early 1992. The Ship Management arm of the Jardine Matheson Group merged with Pacific Basin Shipping in late 2000. Capt Prabhakar headed the Technical Department from 1998 to 2004 at which time he was transferred to Shanghai for 1.5 years to set up offices for Pacific Basin in Shanghai and Dalian. Transferred to Commercial Operations in 2006 and he has been heading Pacific Basin’s Commercial Operations since mid-2007 as Director Operations overseeing global operations of 9 offices and about 250 drybulk ships. Qualified with a MSc in Maine Maritime Academy in 1996. 11. IRIS MAK, FICS Iris, with MBA in Shipping and Logistics and BBA in Finance, was in position as a Shipbroker, Chartering Manager, Operation Manager, Director at various international shipping companies such as Chartering Plus Ltd. (CMA CGM Group), GMT Shipping Line Ltd., Cargill HK Ltd. Apart from being ICS Exco members serving in positions of Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer and Vice Chairman for over 10 years till 2016, she is presently the member of Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board and the Assessor of Recognition of Prior Learning for the sector Shipbroker, Logistics. 12. DR. T L YIP, MICS Dr. T L Yip is currently the Deputy Director in C.Y. Tung International Centre for Maritime Studies and Associate Professor, Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Dr Yip is a specialist marine traffic engineer and a chartered mechanical engineer in Hong Kong and United Kingdom. Before joining PolyU, he was the Principal / Senior Marine Engineer, BMT Asia Pacific (2002-2005). Dr. Yip is serving as the Programme Leader of BBA-International Shipping and Transport Logistics, PolyU. Since 2005, he has been teaching the shipbroking subjects in PolyU, and he has been liaising with the Hong Kong branch of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers for examination venues, ICS scholarship, MOU between PolyU & ICS, and other issues of mutual interests.

13. LI GENG, JOSH, MICS AHKIArb, MBA Candidate, MSc, BBA, Project Manager, Shipping Leasing Division, Cosco Shipping Development Co., Ltd. Start his career as an international commodity trader for iron ore and coking coal business. Worked in Pacific Basin and China Shipping Bulk Carriers (HK) for more than three years in various positions, gained experiences in the fields of drybulk and parcel ship commercial operations and bunker arrangement. He is now working for China Cosco Shipping Group, focusing on shipping finance project development. 14. SHARAD GUPTA, MICS Member, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Fellow Institute of Marine Engineers (India), Member of HK Institute of Marine Technology. Graduate in Marine Engineering. After 11 years of sea-service upto the rank of Chief Engineer, worked from 2006 to 2016 managing vessels as Technical Manager / Technical Superintendent in Hong Kong. Presently Managing Director of Sygnus Marine HK, providing maritime training, inspection and consultancy services. 15. MUNISH KHATRI, MICS Member Institute of Marine Engineers (India), Bachelor of Engineering (Marine). After serving at sea for 9 years as a marine engineer moved ashore as a ship manager in the ship management industry. Worked as Technical Manager at Reliance port, Sikka, India. Later moved to HK as Technical Superintendent at Fleet Management Ltd and was gradually promoted to Senior Superintendent from 2009 to 2013. Presently working with Pacific Basin Shipping Ltd, Hong Kong as Fleet Manager & Fleet Systems Manager looking after technical and operational management of a fleet of dry cargo vessels. Responsible for innovation and continual enhancement of process efficiency in the ship management process in liaison with managers and support staff. Guiding Project Manager for smooth implementation and adoption of the Ship Management systems & simplifying the processes. Looking after all aspects of regulatory compliance for the company.

16. ABHINAV MAKKAR, MICS Primarily a dry-cargo broker, and is slowly gaining experience in tanker chartering. After appearing for his ICS examinations in 2010, Abhinav joined P C Li Shipbrokers, a boutique Hong Kong based dry cargo broking firm. As a trainee shipbroker under the illustrious Mr. P C Li, he picked up the tools of the maritime trade. Following P C Li, worked with Wonsild Hong Kong, as part of their Asia-Pacific handymax team. Abhinav has also worked for over three years with a large Indian Ship and Port agency company, and has garnered experience in vessel calls and port disbursement enquiries, estimations and calculations at various Indian ports. At Pastiche Holdings, Abhinav's primary focus is dry cargo trade in Asia and the Persian Gulf, for handymax, supramax, panamax and kamsarmax tonnage. 17. CHAN KA HO (DAVIN), MICS BBA (Hons.) (HK PolyU), MSc (HK PolyU), MICS Since graduated from MSc in International Shipping & Transport Logistics, Davin has been working on operation and commercial aspects in a Hong Kong tanker ship-owner. Also, Davin joined ICS, HK in 2011 to become a MICS, contributing to various aspects of development and activities of the Institute. 18. HE ZHUOER, JON, MICS Operation Manager, BG Shipping Co., Ltd, since 2017. COSCO (H.K.) Shipping Co., Ltd, 2014-2017. MSc of International Shipping and Transport Logistics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Bachelor Degree, Shanghai Maritime University, Yearly Scholarship, Yearly excellent student. Committee of Shanghai Maritime University Hong Kong Alumni Association. Joined ICS events as voluntary student helper since 2013, became MICS further serving as the Executive Committee for ICS, Hong Kong Branch from 2017. Now he is focusing on operational & commercial fleets operation & management in dry bulk industry, including but not limited to voyage planning, voyage estimation, voyage evaluation, ship management, bunker planning, basic legal & commercial matters. He aims to provide broad platforms and excellent services for ICS members and shipping industry.
