Brieana & Glenn Reeves Brieana & Gleen Reeves were married on the 9 April 2016 and celebrated their special day with 75 close family members and friends. Their wedding reception was held in the elegant Pagoda Ballroom. We took the time to ask them a few questions about their wedding day, what was the best part and what words of wisdom did they have to pass onto future brides & grooms. How Did You Meet? Glenn and I met in January 2011 at a mutual friends 21st birthday party. Neither of us knew many people there but I ended up talking to one of Glenn’s good mates and as soon as we were introduced we clicked instantly and you couldn’t really shut us up! We talked the entire night and found that we had lots in common and had similar personalities. At the end of the night Glenn was brave enough to ask for my number and not too long after that we ended up “friending” each other on Facebook and it didn’t take long for Glenn to ask me out on our first date. We’ve been inseparable ever since! What Theme or Style Would Describe Your Wedding? Our wedding was elegant & traditional. We didn’t want to stray too far away from a classic wedding but also wanted to reflect us and our personality. As Glenn is half Indian I wanted to incorporate this into our wedding and also honour his Late Father. I decided to surprise him and our guests with Bollywood Dancers at our reception which was a huge hit! It was a lot of fun as the dancers encouraged us to come up and dance with them after their performance and was hilarious to see our attemts at Bollywood dancing! What Was Your Favourite Part of the Day? Hard to say what my favourite part was as I enjoyed every minute of my wedding day! I felt very calm and composed during our bridal prep and I was very excited to see Glenn down that aisle (though I did get quite emotional as soon as we pulled into the ceremony). Once the ceremony was over it was great to relax a little and enjoy the rest of the night with our close family and friends. We took every second of it in and it was truly amazing to see all our hard work and planning over the last 2 years come together so perfectly! We wouldn’t change a thing! Words of Wisdom for Future Brides & Grooms Easier said than done, but definitely relax and if things don’t go 100% then don’t stress too much about it! Your bridal party, family and co-ordinators are there to help you and it’s highly likely your guests won’t even notice if the little things go wrong! Also, go with your gut on suppliers: if you feel like they’re not the right fit for your wedding then trust that instinct! Lastly, research, research, research!
