Be inspired to host a fun movie party in your home! The PFL Style Team worked really hard on this party to show you that with a great movie and fun theme anyone can create a this type of get-together with friends and co-workers. The movie “Bridesmaids’” immediately made me think of a wedding reception and all of the elements in design that make it seem so fluffy and girly, like the brides’ wedding gown. My

very first thought was the centerpiece that would set the stage for guests as soon as they walked through the door. I, with the help of a few friends, made a table skirt with lots and lots of tulle to look like the bottom of a big, puffy wedding gown. I think that you will agree that this single table skirt sets the stage for the fun evening ahead!

Enjoy!

A glittery sign and pink balloons tells everyone that you are serious. This is a PARTY!

Hosting a movie party is not only fun but it gives you a great excuse to transform your house with a great theme. Your guests will be truly impressed with your ability to entertain.

All guests were encouraged to wear pink because it was the “bride’s” favorite color. This gets party goers in the spirit before they even arrive at the party. The wedding reception began as soon as guests walked through the door.

Everyone was greeted upon entering the party with the signature drink of the evening, Salty Chihuahuas.

Chihuahuas & HoneyThis fun and sassy drink is a simple mixture of Tequila and grapefruit juice served in a salted rimmed glass.

Most everyone enjoyed at least one, maybe two and noshed on figs, walnuts and sharp cheddar drizzled with local honey.

• A gift table was decorated with black & white wedding photos of some of the guests.

• Door prizes were given to guests who placed their name in a bowl.

• Glittery wrapping paper added a fun sparkle to the table.

• Pretty ribbon and glitter can make any occasion more fun!

Girls Love Drama

We really “hammed” it up with a faux proposal & bouquet toss.

Toast & Cake

No wedding reception would be complete without a champagne toast and wedding cake. A special toast was given thanking my friends for helping me decorate and plan such a festive party. I toasted “Glitter and glue, I couldn’t do it without you.” The crowd went wild with laughter. Girls…

Pink Champagne

Wedding CakeThe pink three tier wedding cake was dusted with edible silver glitter and displayed on a small silver cake stand. The top layer was adorned with an oversized diamond ring, every girl’s dream.

Party Favors

After the movie and sugar rush guests took glittery nail polish home as party favors. “Sparkly Evah After” was the perfect ending to a fun and sparkly evening.
