Transcript of Bricks, Press Kit 2015

Bricks is a web app that help architects and creatives to organize

their visual inspirations with reusable bricks of projects, they can

share with their team and the design community.

Bricks is designed with simple principles :

- Visual and image based approach- Designed for architecture & creatives- Simple and elegant user Interface- Collaboration made easy- Maximise serendipity

2What is Bricks ?

Architects often get inspirations from the other architects or reuse part of their past projects. But they don’t have today, an efficient way to organize their experience internally and share it with the community.

They are lacking a true collaboration platform that play the same role as github for developers.

We think that it is not a fatality, and started to design Bricks in 2014, as an app that allow architects to work in a more collaborative way.

Bricks allow to collect, organize and share design ideas and inspirations and want to be "the github for architects and creatives professionals".

How did the idea came from ? 3

A brick is a reusable element of a project like a stair, a roof type, a facade…

Anything you can split to reuse in a future project.

On a brick you can:

- discuss with your team- attach related files like drawing, 3D model...- see in which project it has been used- ....

Bricks allow you to collect inspirations images easily from the web or from our integrated inspirations library.

You can organize your Bricks with projects, layers, and even define bricks relationships by cropping a sub-element directly on an image.

4How does Bricks work ?

For architects

- Design faster, concentrate on the originality of your project

- Collect inspirations images from everywhere- Organize your inspirations on a project per

project basis- Define bricks relationships by selecting a sub-

element directly on an image- Build a collaborative bricks library you can

share easily- Communicate with other architects and within

your team- Reuse common bricks shared by the

community

What are the benefits of using Bricks ? 5

We develop a powerful and elegant interface to discover architectural products in context.

Architects love discovering ideas reading architectural magazine or web sites, and get inspired more easily by the other architects.

For manufacturers

- Show case of your products in the context of the best projects that use them

- Make your product viral understanding architects inspirations workflow

- More straighforward communication with the architecture community
