DECEMBER 2016 EDITION BRAND NEWSLETTER On Sunday March 20th, the Otis Spunkmeyer team attended the Latin Food Fest for their family fun day. Our team handed out over 1,500 samples. Everyone loved the cakes and was excited about the new line! La Brea Bakery had an on-air segment with The Chew on ABC. We were the clear star of the show with a bread pudding featuring our Italian Round. Additionally, they promoted the Thanksgiving Heroes campaign which ltook place during November.

On July 23rd, attendees of the Long Beach Grand Cru were thrilled to sample myriad of La Brea Bakery breads including Rosemary Olive Oil, Fruit & Nut, and Kalamatta Olive breads. As always, we surprised and delighted guests with take-home, complimentary Demi Baguettes and La Brea Bakery reuseable grocery bags.

During the month of June, Otis Spunkmeyer kick started the summer with an “Only for Everyone” 10 City Sampling Tour. Throughout the course of the tour, Brand Ambassadors in “_______Spunkmeyer” shirts will distributed over 400,000 samples and retail coupons in strategic high traffic locations over a 4 week period.

INGREDIENTSn 5 Otis Spunkmeyer Hot Chocolate Frosted Crème Cakes n 2 tbsp. Chocolate Morsels n 1 C. Mini Marshmallows

DIRECTIONS

n Take 5 Otis Spunkmeyer Hot Chocolate Frosted Crème Cakes and fit them snuggly in a coffee mug. Depending on mug size, this could also be 3-4 cakes if a smaller mug is used.

n Throw in a handful of chocolate morsels in the center of the frosted crème cake-filled mug and microwave for a minute, or until they are warm and gently melt down at the touch of a fork.

n Once warmed, push the crème cakes down a half an inch into the mug with a fork to make room for marshmallows. Top with a generous handful of mini marshmallows and, using a home crème brulee torch, carefully toast the marshmallows. You can also toast the marshmallows under the broiler in your oven, just be careful when handling the mug afterwards as it will be very hot!

n Grab a spoon and enjoy this fun take on a hot chocolate!

1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. In a non-reactive bowl whisk together olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Add arugula and lightly dress (remove extra dressing if needed).

3. Place 4 slices of bread on baking sheet. Evenly distribute Brie on top of each of the 4 slices of bread.

4. Place in the oven for 3 minutes or until Brie is just starting to melt. Remove.

To Assemble: Drizzle honey on top of cheese and add trail mix. Top with arugula salad and close with remaining piece of bread. Slice in 2 pieces and serve.
