BP KHAZAN PROJECT - HVAC SYSTEM DESCRIPTION &

OPERATING PROCEDURE

 The HVAC system for SER building consists of two numbers of 

Fresh air handling units(FAHU!" # FAHU!$%& four numbers air

cooled condensing units(C'U!"& C'U!$& C'U! # C'U!)%& *+e

numbers Ceiling sus,ended ty,e '- s,lit units. /attery room

+entilation ,ur,ose ha+e ,ro+ided two e0tract fans duty ,lus

stand by basis.

Control room and battery room ,ressurisation ,ur,ose fresh airhandling units are used. Control room is always maintained

,ositi+e ,ressure and battery room is maintained negati+e

,ressure.

Each FAHU is connected with two condensing units('- ty,e%.

FAHU with corres,onding condensing units are o,erating on duty

,lus stand by basis. Each FAHU is incor,erated with se,erate

motori1ed +olume control dam,er to control the air +olume with

its su,,ly air duct.

FAHU!"('uty unit% selector switch is switched on& before the

motor starts running& corres,onding motori1ed dam,er need to

get $)!V su,,ly and the actuator need to energi1e and o,en the

dam,er com,letely& minimum one minute time will ta2e for the

full o,ening of dam,er. After the full o,ening of dam,er only the

motor need to starts and corre,ondingly blower has to run. The

motori1ed dam,er su,,ly need to retain during the FAHUo,eration.

3hen the FAHU has get the start command then only the

condensing unit need to get the start command. Each FAHU4s is

tem,erature is controlled by indi+idual thermostat.

Automatically through /6S command the rele+ant motori1ed

Ad9ustable $) hour timer is ,ro+ided to achie+e our run hour

control logic and duty change o+er time control logic. Howe+er&

normally it is recommended by maufactrer is : to "$ Hrs&

inaddition that this ad9ustable time will hel,s to achie+e our own

,ro9ect re;uirements and it could be in line with our site

re;uirements.

=n this system can monitor the blower rotation and other status

such as *lter clogging& air >ow failure. System has ,ro+ided air

>ow switch in the su,,ly air duct for the blower rotation.
