    Rexroth takes the biscuit gently

In a bid to reduce damage to biscuits on the production line at United Biscuits, Rexroth VarioFlow technology was introduced to improve productivity and at the same time improve quality.

The equipment upgrade was part of an overall programme of improvements at United Biscuits and was necessary to resolve the issue on the Digestive line where there was a problem with the unreliability of transferring packages from one line to another resulting in biscuits crumbling in the packet. Because the packs are sealed at the time of handling, this unfortunate situation was only being discovered when the packet was opened by the customer.

However, it wasnt only quality that United Biscuits wanted to improve. It was also important to increase the speed of the line to get a much faster production rate and as speed does not always equate with careful handling, a bespoke solution was essential. The brief was to replace the current biscuit transfer system with a new, faster system which incorporated a metal detector station, biscuit transfer arrangement and two off-biscuit transfer units which direct the product into the existing case-packing machine.

The answer was the highly flexible and intelligent Rexroth VarioFlow technology. This modular chain conveyor system can easily be adapted to specific tasks and production layouts. The end result was a working biscuit handling system, manufactured in line with United Biscuits' production environment.

Engineers are the driving force at Bosch, so the current misconceptions around what a career

in engineering involves is concerning to us.

We recently carried out research to better

understand the perceptions of engineering in the UK. The results are worrying, confirming our fears that young people view engineering as a geeky and dirty back of house function.

There is still much to be done to ensure young people not only view engineering as a valuable degree option but also see just how important it is to UK economic growth.

In this engineering-themed edition of World of Bosch, we celebrate three impressive production milestones of technologies that started out as engineering inventions (pages 8 and 9). Years on, and these inventions have delivered significant improvements in the automotive sector, including reductions in CO2 emissions and increased fuel efficiencies.

Bosch engineers have also been developing innovative automation solutions for many leading consumer brands, including Unilever, which you can read about on the opposite page. We hope you enjoy reading about our engineering developments in this edition of World of Bosch.

    Bespoke solution, seamless integration

The system included a six-lane bespoke conveyor arrangement with a bend at the exit of the VarioFlow conveyors. The VarioFlow technology interfaced seamlessly with the existing plant, with bespoke conveyors carrying the product through the metal detection unit to ensure that no foreign metallic materials can be introduced into the product. The inclusion of reject chutes ensures that the product is redirected off the line if anything metallic is detected.

The system was praised for its quality and identified as an ideal solution for any industry looking for a delicate handling solution. Regarded as the best in its class, capable of longer chain pulls with fewer motors than any other suppliers equipment, the VarioFlow provides a significant saving in both investment cost and running costs for the customer.

For United Biscuits, the end result was an increase in production to circa 60 packs per minute and the virtual elimination of crumbly biscuits. Since the commissioning of the new Digestive line, Bosch Rexroth equipment will be used as part of a further project at the site.

    Engineering: the real value

A survey carried out by Bosch into peoples understanding of engineering and its roles reveals that the discipline is widely undervalued with less than half surveyed viewing engineering as key to the UK economy. The research was carried out amongst 1,347 people aged between 18 and 45 years old and shows that many people, particularly younger adults, see engineering as a non-critical back of house function in business.

Peter Fouquet, president of Bosch UK, said: The findings are concerning given that the engineering sector in the UK makes up nearly one fifth of the economy and employs over 5.6 million people. Combined, engineering

and manufacturing contribute around 800 billion to the UK economy. Need for change

The research findings were covered on national and local news. Peter Fouquet took part in a Sky News interview to highlight the issues surrounding the engineering profession in the UK. Further regional radio interviews were held with Martyn Bridges, director of marketing and technology for Worcester, Bosch Group, and Philip Greenish, chief executive of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Research carried out by Bosch highlights current concerns that young people do not consider engineering as a strong career choice.

    Engineering plays an essential role

Currently there is a dire need for more engineers in the UK and with a predicted shortfall of 600,000 by 2017 this continues to be a major issue.

A strong engineering and design base is critical for the UK in being able to position itself as a global industrial and technological leader. Engineering can solve many of the UKs current problems. For example, engineers will be the people to find long-term solutions to many pressing ecological problems, such as halting global warming, reducing CO2 emissions and cutting our dependence on fossil fuels.

Statistics show that engineering is a highly regarded choice at degree level. Three years after graduation, 94% of 2007/08 full-time first-degree engineering and technology leavers were in work, with only medicine and dentistry leavers achieving a higher in-work percentage.

After three and a half years, engineering and technology graduates from the same year were earning more on average than their counterparts, with the exception of veterinary science, medicine and dentistry.

The opportunities are there but the perception and general level of understanding around engineering need to improve. Boschs research revealed a clear lack of consensus around what engineers do. Engineering, and

engineers themselves, need to be given a greater status in terms of their value to society and importance to the economy, which will help encourage more students to take up the discipline at university. It is clear that the value of engineering needs to be actively promoted.

Engineering success in the UKIn November 2011, a new 1 million award for innovation the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering was launched.

The prize is designed to raise the profile of engineering and can be awarded to any nationality. It is the result of a growing realisation within political, business and engineering circles of the need to focus attention on engineering.

The UK already plays a big role in engineering success.

Bosch engineers in the UK make gearboxes that are used to power offshore wind turbines for the growing wind-energy sector.

In the coming years, a significant proportion of the countrys economic growth will be from sectors such as low-carbon technology, which involve a high level of advanced engineering.

UK engineering research is ranked fifth in the world based on academic citations in various published journals, with only the USA, China, Germany and Japan claiming more.

Bosch engineers develop gearboxes that drive wind turbines in the growing wind-energy sector.

The UK is facing a predicted shortfall in engineers.

The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering will be awarded every two years.

Engineering ingenuity This years Bosch Technology Horizons Award asks for essays on environmental and Olympic themes.

100% for technical expertise Garage technician Richard Kennedy from Team Traction, an AutoCrew garage in Canterbury, Kent, scored 100% on the Essential Test Procedures (VSE1) module.

This module forms part of the Bosch Diagnostic Technician Course which is designed to give technicians a full and detailed knowledge of automotive technology.

Every year, over 100 technicians take the course but very few gain top marks of 100%. Richard scoring 100% is a real testament to the quality of the AutoCrew network. His achievement mirrors the importance of staying on top of future technological developments in the automotive industry.

Todays demands for tomorrows technologiesBoschs AutoCrew network of independent garages gets hands-on with the latest engineering developments in the automotive sector.

The AutoCrew garage network meets to receive demonstrations of Boschs advanced diagnostic equipment.

STEM coordinator Huw James will work with Bosch to encourage year 9 students to explore engineering.

    Modern requirements

Customer demands and expectations have increased in recent years and to meet these demands, successful workshops need to be up to speed on developments in automotive technologies. They need to invest in the highest level of diagnostic testing tools and equipment, training for their technicians needs to be up-to-date and they must have direct access to the latest vehicle service information. At the meeting, presentations from Bosch highlighted its technical equipment offering and gave an insight into the future of automotive technology and how Bosch can help train the garage technicians to be the best qualified for servicing modern vehicles.

    Find your nearest AutoCrew garage:

    www.autocrew.co.uk

Its just over a year since Bosch introduced the AutoCrew garage workshop concept to the UK and the network now stands just short of the 100 garage mark, with a growth target of 200 in total by the end of 2012.

AutoCrew is a network of independent garages supported by Bosch for servicing and repair of all makes of car. The networks first members meeting was held towards the end of 2011 at the Bosch head office in Denham, Uxbridge, with presentations taking place from Bosch and Euro Car Parts, exclusive distributor for the programme.

Garages in the AutoCrew network commit to attending Bosch training and ensuring their garage offers the latest equipment including Bosch diagnostic equipment to diagnose, service and repair cars. Owning an independent workshop in todays business climate poses significantly more challenges than in the past; AutoCrew technicians have access to Boschs advanced automotive technologies and engineering developments to help them provide the high level of service expected.

Encouraging young people to explore what engineering is all about is something that Bosch is continually focused on and for the last seven years, the Bosch Technology Horizons Award has provided an engaging platform for this. This national award is an essay-writing competition for 14 to 24 years olds, run by Bosch in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Over the years, the number of entrants has steadily increased and in 2011, over 850 young people took part by submitting an essay written in response to one of four questions.

    Olympic theme

This years essay questions encouraged young people to think about the roles that technology and engineering play from two very different angles. One question encouraged discussion of how environmental technologies have affected human behaviour in the last decade, and the second question explores the role of modern technologies in this years Olympic Games. The standard of entries has been so high in recent years that this years questions are sure to generate thought-provoking and highly considered responses.

    Expanding the award

It has been important for Bosch to ensure that this award is seen in an innovative light, in line with the technologies described in the written essays. In 2011, as part of Boschs 125th anniversary celebrations, Bosch partnered with Misbourne School in Great Missenden to offer twelve students the chance to collaborate with a professional artist and design and create a bespoke trophy for the Bosch Technology Horizons Award. Under the guidance of the artist, the students were given the task of creating a trophy made entirely out of various parts of Bosch products, to be unveiled at the award presentation day.

    Further collaboration

This year, Huw James a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) coordinator for Science Made Simple has got involved. Alongside people from Bosch, Huw will be running a video

production workshop with 13-14-year-old students at Misbourne School. At the workshop students will be given an introduction to engineering and to the task, which is to develop their own video on technology and innovation for a sustainable future. The winning video will be showcased at the award presentation day in July this year.

Another exciting addition to this years Bosch Technology Horizons Award is that pupils of the school submitting the most entries will get to see what really happens inside a Bosch manufacturing plant. A tour of the Worcester, Bosch Groups factory has been introduced as a prize, including a special invitation to see the technology in action at the home of Worcester, Bosch Groups chief executive, Richard Soper. The tour will provide a glimpse of what a day in the life of an engineer at Bosch is like.

This years Bosch Technology Horizons Award closed for entrants on 20th April 2012 and winners will be announced in July.

    World leaders in engineering technology

As a world leader in engineering technology, Bosch stays ahead of the game not just by constantly innovating and predicting new trends but by continual refinement and development of existing technologies to make them ever more efficient and eco-friendly. This approach has created strong demand for Bosch components and systems over the years and has led to the achievement of some impressive production milestones.

    Rapid growth in common-rail systems

Bosch recently marked its quest for a cleaner, more economical and quieter diesel engine with the production

of its 75-millionth common-rail system. The system, which has been fitted to passenger cars, commercial vehicles and even ships, uses high-pressure multiple fuel injectors to cut CO2 and NOx emissions. Common-rail systems for the future that operate at 2,500 bar pressure are already in development and Bosch predicts that by 2015, diesel-powered compact cars will consume just 3.6 litres per 100 kilometres, a fuel-saving of 30%, with those involving hybrid technology set to save up to 40%.

Start/stop savingsAnother fuel-saving device is the start/stop starter, currently fitted to one in three new cars in Europe. This is a cost-effective way of reducing fuel consumption and consequently CO2 emissions and is invaluable especially when driving in heavy urban traffic during peak hours. An internal monitor determines the optimum point at which a shutdown and quick restart can be achieved whilst ensuring radio, navigation and temperature controls operate without interruption.

Production of this device began at the end of 2007 and in January 2012, Bosch clocked up five million start/stop starters, with the expectation by 2013 that one in every two European vehicles will be fitted with this fuel-efficient technology.

    Mobile consumer electronics

MEMS sensors are also used in many common consumer electronics applications. In the case of smart phones and laptops, MEMS sensors are responsible for making mobile devices safe, convenient and user friendly. In navigation devices such as sat navs, MEMS pressure sensors measure changes in altitude to such a degree that you can even navigate a multi-storey building. Acceleration sensors make it possible to use hand movements to control devices, change content display from portrait to landscape and even prevent loss of data from the hard drive if the device is dropped.

Most recently the MEMS magnetic field sensor is being used in digital compasses to detect location while compensating for errors cause by inclines. The potential for new developments in the consumer market is as high as ever, and as such there is an expectation of further spectacular innovations based on MEMS components in the years to come.

Big in micro-electromechanical componentsBy far the most incredible milestone is the production of two billion Bosch micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) sensors, which have far-reaching applications. Developed using the industry-renowned Bosch process, which sets the template for high production volumes of micromachined components,

MEMS sensors are designed to measure pressure, acceleration, and yaw rate or flow rate. In automotive applications the average modern car will feature up to 100 MEMS sensors carrying out the sensory function and control of injection systems in engines and the deployment of air bags as well as being an essential part of the ESP anti-skid system.

Since 2007, Bosch has produced 5 million start/stop starters.

Bosch common-rail systems were first introduced 14 years ago, marking a new image for the diesel car. Bosch is the global market leader in MEMS sensors.

    Bosch Rexroth

A gripping solution for Twister Bosch Rexroth devises lasting, effective system for ice lolly production line.

A new twist on pick and place technology.

The Twister lolly is one of the UKs most popular summer refreshments and its production line at Unilevers plant in Gloucestershire is one of the busiest, so when ice creams began to fall onto the production floor, there was no time to waste.

We run at a rate of 450 ice creams per minute, 24 hours a day and six and a half days a week, explained Unilever engineering technician Chris Burch. It is the most booked and therefore the hardest working line in our Gloucester facility.

Twister ice creams come out on plates from the freezers on a conveyor then a pneumatic hammer breaks them from the plate. At this point, a pick and place gripper distributes the ice cream onto an eight-lane conveyor system and then on to packing. The type of gripper in use was showing clear signs of wear, creating problems shortly after installation. Most importantly, the grippers were failing to grip the ice creams.

The issue we had was the reliability of the gripper cylinders," added Chris. We were finding that each cylinder only had a working life of approximately three to four weeks and they were very costly to replace.

Bosch Rexroth was asked to look into providing a solution. The original gripper specified was totally wrong for the job, commented Steve Morris, an expert in pick and place technology for food applications at Bosch Rexroth. The Twister line was equipped with a 180o gripper from open to close which was at least two sizes beyond what was needed.

    Low-maintance, cost-effective solution

Bosch Rexroth worked with Unilever to complete an accurate sizing calculation to ensure that any new gripper was suitable for the job, trialling two Rexroth GSP-A-25 grippers that only opened to 45o.

We provided the grippers, fingers and plate in order to offer Unilever a total solution to the gripper problem which would ensure that with any future maintenance, a complete head could be replaced, which would offer very fast changeovers and minimal downtime, Steve explained. Chris concluded: We now have a much more efficient solution that can be maintained more easily and cost effectively.

Hydraulic upgrades embrace technologyAdvanced hydraulic systems use the latest technologies to deliver increased efficiencies and productivity.

If an old hydraulic system is robust and in good working order then it can be difficult to justify the need, and the cost, for a replacement. But advances in technology have produced far more efficient and productive systems which are lower maintenance, safer and more environmentally sound, so the benefits are there for the taking.

Bosch Rexroth is at the forefront of this technology. One important development with hydraulic systems has been the introduction of valves with proportional control to provide smooth operation of cylinder functions which gives the hydraulic system the inbuilt ability to manage pressure control, flow control and decompression of large volumes of fluid under pressure.

The addition of pumps also helps to regulate flow and pressure with power and load control. This not only improves general efficiency but the functionality of the system to match processing requirements.

    Eastman Chemicals project

An installation at Eastman Chemicals in the US demonstrated how a new hydraulic system was required to address the failures of a previous system, which operated its baling presses. Once Bosch Rexroth had addressed these issues, it began a project at Eastmans UK plant in Workington, Cumbria where a filter material used in the cigarette industry was being manufactured, then compressed by baling presses to reduce the volume of the final product for economical packaging and transport to overseas customers.

The first improvement was an expansion of capacity, with Bosch Rexroth overseeing the installation of several new presses. These were installed using a new ring-main hydraulic system where one power unit supplies multiple presses, each with individual control provided by close proximity valve stations.

The press boxes are continuously fed with filter material from the production lines, evenly layered. When the box is full, a bin is raised by two hydraulic cylinders before the main press cylinder produces a compact bale, ready for packaging.

    Entire system replacement

After a successful period of production with the new ring-main system a decision was made to upgrade

the remaining baling press systems to eliminate maintenance problems. Three options were considered: to simply replace the piping; to replace the piping and the main control valves; to replace the whole system. With so many recurrent problems associated with the first two options, option three went ahead with a whole new system installation to take full advantage of the upgrade.

To reduce production losses during installation the decision was taken to replace the systems progressively, two presses at a time using a dedicated hydraulic power unit for each pair. The resulting upgrades have improved productivity and profitability by reducing maintenance and costly downtime, and improving performance and efficiency.

Overall Bosch Rexroth has proved there are numerous benefits to the installation of a new hydraulic system. Eliminating leaks, water ingress and delays in production by eradicating shock loads are combined with high-integrity power packs offering greater efficiency and ultimately a more reliable system with redundancy built in.

Success brings growth for Bosch A new research and development site is set to open for Bosch Lawn and Garden in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

    Smart solution for online ordering

Bosch Packaging Technology is continuing to forge ahead in optimised online ordering. By introducing a number of additional user-friendly enhancements to its E-Portal ordering system, the division now provides customers with access to enhanced information on spare parts and services to improve efficiency and transparency.

Designed as an anytime meeting place for supplier and customer, the E-Portal provides detailed information on spare parts coupled with clear pricing and availability information to speed up decision-making and help with planning future requirements. As part of a recent upgrade, the system now offers quotation and order tracking, tailored equipment lists and details of top hits relating to order history.

Although user-specific, the E-Portal enables greater inter-departmental sharing of information and by facilitating information flow and communication, it also improves the coordination of ordering processes between departments and plants.

    Easy to share information

One key feature of the E-Portal is the option to create memos for more efficient information exchange during the ordering process. All members of staff involved in ordering spare parts can have access to this function if and when required. Even operators who work closely with the machinery can create a memo with a list of spare parts needed for maintenance or repairs and can update these anytime as required. The spare parts ordering department has access to this ordering data

and can place the required parts directly into the basket for enhanced internal communication as well as fast and accurate ordering.

Customers also benefit from the option to view all orders and quotes from the last 24 months, which increases transparency during the ordering process and avoids time wastage and workload duplication.

To back up the E-Portal, Bosch offers a worldwide network of service hubs to provide customers with maintenance and support. With 24/7 availability and complete customisation, this online ordering facility caters to the varied demands of modern customers in a global market.

    Bosch Communication Center

    Bosch division prepares for move

A planned move to new offices is just around the corner for Bosch Communication Center (BCC), part of Bosch Security Systems. As a major provider of contact centre and business process outsourcing services for clients including Bosch, Burger King and Hallmark, BCC has grown steadily in recent years and the planned move to prestigious office space in Liverpools commercial district will meet both current and future needs of the division.

BCC has made Liverpool its UK base since 2004. Following an extensive search of potential new office space, the decision was made to stay in the city centre. Many considerations were factored into this decision, the most important being the retention of BCCs existing highly skilled workforce. Liverpool has proved

to be a significant location for Bosch Communication Center as it has facilitated the companys ability to recruit high-quality staff, in particular those who speak multiple languages to service the global client base.

Speaking ahead of the move which is planned for June 2012 general manager, John Milburn said: This is an exciting time for Bosch Communcation Center in the UK. The relocation within Liverpool demonstrates our continued commitment to the area and is a testament to our ability to attract the high quality of staff needed to satisfy the current and future needs of our customers.

  • Bosch Business Solutions Bosch Car Service

90 years and still going strong Bosch Car Service celebrates a milestone anniversary.

Effective online training solutionsBosch Business Solutions is setting the standard for e-learning with its new programme tailored to the automotive aftermarket.

Last year was an exciting one for Bosch Car Service. With the motto 90 years of Bosch Car Service The Future Needs a Past, 2011 was given over to celebrating the long-running and ever-expanding network of garages that make up Bosch Car Service. All 529 garages in the Bosch Car Service network were supplied with promotional posters to ensure the 90-year celebrations were experienced nationwide.

    From the very beginning

It was back in 1921 when Bosch recognised the need to establish a network of repair centres know as the Bosch Service Organisation to install and repair its automotive products. Today, 90 years on, the name has evolved to Bosch Car Service and the independent network has become the worlds largest with over 15,000 centres in 147 countries, just over 500 of those are in the UK.

Modern Bosch Car Service workshops are supported through state-of-the-art testing technology, technical information and training, and effective spare parts logistics, to give customers peace of mind that when they take their vehicle to a Bosch Car Service garage, theyll be getting the very best service possible.

The network is always looking at ways to expand and respond to customer feedback, and 2011 also saw

The Bosch-developed e-learning programme tracks the progress of every workshop technician.

the launch of a new online system that allows users to book in at their local Bosch Car Service garage from the comfort of their own sofa. The online booking system provides a quick and easy way for customers to book in for a service at a time that suits them. The system has already taken hundreds of bookings since launch and has proved incredibly popular with customers.

    Driving through the winter

Running throughout the winter months was a nationwide advertising campaign that urged drivers to winter-proof their vehicles. The 4-month campaign was featured on local radio, in specialist magazines, online and outdoors at motorway service stations.

Celebrating 90 years of attentive service.

Bosch Car Service is the largest independent workshop network in the world.

As a medium to train employees and upgrade existing skills remotely, e-learning is fast emerging as a business strategy in its own right. Bosch Business Solutions is harnessing the potential of web-based learning to offer customised solutions across a number of sectors including engineering, business process outsourcing and IT.

    Training for technicians

One example of how Bosch Business Solutions has been delivering strong results through an effective e-learning programme has taken place in China, where customised solutions have been developed for the Bosch Car Service network of over 1,000 garages. Around 30,000 technicians are employed within the workshops of this vast network and as part of an initiative to drive improvements in quality, Bosch Business Solutions developed a comprehensive e-learning training package covering the workings and components of the Bosch common-rail system.

    Developing the content

The process began with the drafting of an initial training plan based on a series of instructor-led training sessions backed by information helplines. Although a strong idea in principle, this format presented many constraints and a more appropriate and quick-to-deploy solution was required. This led Bosch Business Solutions to instigate the design of a customised web-based qualification programme comprising nine hours of e-learning content to meet the needs of the technicians. In addition to incorporating specific content, there was a requirement to ensure the materials were user friendly

and available to a large number of technicians in a short space of time.

Intuitive graphical representations were used alongside appropriate instructional strategies to engage the technicians in a detailed exploration of the common-rail system and its many components. The course was also set up to track the progress of every technician to ensure the correct qualification was awarded on successful completion of the e-learning programme.

    Future roll-out

The development of this web-based learning platform now presents the opportunity for Bosch Business Solutions to roll out training of this kind to further technicians using minimal infrastructure, as and when required. The success of this programme has supported the notion that e-learning can and will play an important role in addressing the training needs of organisations in the future.

  • Automotive Original Equipment Security Systems

Out of the box and into the picture Bosch 700 Series CCTV can handle the most demanding of situations.

Toyota Motor Europe recognises Bosch with quality awardBoschs Automotive Original Equipment division receives three awards for performance and consistent quality.

    Case study:

The Stobart GroupAn entire portfolio of Bosch Security Systems technology, including the 700 Series, is being installed at the new Stobart Rail operated railway station at Stobart Groups London Southend Airport.

With the aim of protecting the safety and security of passengers and staff, the station and airport is benefiting from a surveillance system which includes the first installation of Boschs new digital hybrid recorder (DHR).

The project, which is being managed by MAX Electronic Systems, needed to be fit for purpose for today, but also future-proof for efficient operation. Bill Anderson, managing director of MAX Electronic Systems, turned to Bosch to make sure this was the case. Bill explained: Bosch products are at the centre of everything we have done; the proven reliability and quality of its technology are exceptional.

Bosch Security Systems has introduced a fast, simple and out-of-the-box solution for HD and SD video-recording and management suitable for use in a wide range of applications.

Providing excellent CCTV coverage for medium- to large-scale systems, from shopping centres to car parks to crowd surveillance, the 700 Series is easy to set up and maintain and can support even the most challenging of CCTV applications without placing excessive demands on installers or operators.

The adaptable 700 Series recorders which meet the growing trend towards digital and HD surveillance systems, are suitable for applications that require exceptionally high image performance and are equipped with up to four front-replaceable hard drives with extensive integration features. With a fully automated onboard IP camera management system, each unit supports a total of 32 cameras. The hybrid models also provide an alternative future-proof choice for growing applications which use a mix of analogue and IP cameras.

By capturing all of the details whilst keeping storage requirements to a minimum, Boschs 700 Series recorders promise to get the most out of every CCTV image. The optimised compression technology from Bosch reduces bandwidth and storage needs by up to 30% when compared to the traditional MPEG-4 systems, and storage can easily be increased up to eight TByte using in-field updates. An optional external storage array can also be easily attached.

The recorders are also supplied with Bosch Video Client (BVC) software, which makes the operation as

simple as possible thanks to the intuitive interface. With a range of capabilities, including the ability to show a remote display of live and recorded video in both 1080p and 720p HD resolutions, the BVC is an added bonus to the package.
