LIVING ON THE GOLD COASTBond College offers both on-campus and homestay accommodation for students.

On-campus accommodation provides for a comfortable and secure environment where you can enjoy all the fun of community life, living with fellow students from all over Australia and all over the world. Options include single rooms with private ensuite facilities, single or twin rooms with shared bathroom and two / three-bedroom flats. For more details about on-campus accommodation please visit our website at www.bond.edu.au/accommodation.

Homestay is a popular choice for international students who are looking for a more family oriented lifestyle. The arrangements for each homestay vary depending upon your host family. Students wanting homestay accommodation will need to contact Bond College to make the necessary arrangements.

The Australian Government regulations require that students who are under the age of 18 have approved accommodation and welfare arrangements in place. For students who will not be living with a parent, custodian or eligible relative over the age of 21 they will need to contact Bond College to make suitable homestay or on-campus accommodation arrangements.

AIRPORT ARRIVAL TRANSFERSBond College can arrange transport from Brisbane or Gold Coast airport to your accommodation. Arrival transfers can be booked online at www.bond.edu.au/accommodation as soon as you have your flight details. Bookings must be made at least one week prior to your arrival. English language students must apply for airport transfer on their application form.

BOND WEEKAt the start of each semester, an Orientation Week is held for Bond College Foundation Program or MQP students where you have an opportunity to meet your teachers and classmates, and tour the campus. Students will be given your study schedule and the Student Advisor will be available to discuss their studies and future degree requirements. English language students receive orientation on arrival.

CAMPUS LIFESTYLEBond University and Bond College students enjoy a full and rewarding lifestyle on campus.

Bond University has a distinct global perspective, aspiring to a 50:50 ratio of Australian to international students, with overseas students coming from some 80 different countries, including China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Brazil, Canada, Fiji, France, Germany, the Gulf States, New Caledonia, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.

Campus life strongly reflects this international mix with all students benefiting from the opportunity to learn from and socialise with those from other cultures.

For overseas students particularly, our dedicated International Students Office can assist with all the practical details, such as visa requirements, health cover, accommodation and generally finding your way around.

You will also have full access to all the recreation facilities on campus, such as the gymnasium, an Olympic-size swimming pool, restaurants, cafes, Don’s Tavern (everyone’s favourite meeting place) and the sporting fields.

If you’re feeling a little homesick, our caring and qualified counsellors are available to help at any time and we have a health clinic staffed by a doctor and nurse for any medical issues you may have.

Most importantly, you’ll always feel completely safe and secure, thanks to our on-campus security staff who patrol the grounds 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

DISCOVER THE GOLD COASTLiving on the Gold Coast, you’ll enjoy the cosmopolitan environment and easy lifestyle of Australia’s fastest growing city. You’ll meet fellow students from all over Australia and all over the world and together, you can discover the great beaches, theme parks, National Parks, shopping centres and more that make this region one of Australia’s favourite international destinations.

Bond University is linked to all the local attractions by an excellent public transport network, with buses operating from the campus all day, and Varsity and Robina train stations close by.

The Queensland state capital, Brisbane, is just 80kms north of the Gold Coast and has an international airport, as well as all city services. Regular trains to Brisbane run from the Robina railway station, just five minutes drive from the campus.

EXPLORE AUSTRALIAAustralia is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. In our ultra-cosmopolitan coastal cities, you’ll enjoy a clean, safe environment where people go out of their way to extend a warm, friendly welcome.

Take time out to visit some of the world’s natural wonders: learn to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef; watch the sun set over Uluru (Ayers Rock); go bushwalking in ancient rainforests; listen to Aboriginal elders tell their Dreamtime stories in Kakadu National Park; see the stunning panorama of Sydney Harbour from the very top of the Harbour Bridge; cruise the river gorges in south-west Tasmania ... the list is endless.
