Green Business, Sustainable Tourism, and Green Construction?
The Ecuadorian-Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Guayaquil with the collaboration of the Consulate of Canada in Guayaquil,

what it means for businesses, governments, universities, and the public with the perspective of Canadian experts and business
leaders who are leading the initiative for Vancouver to become the Greenest City by 2020.
Recognizing that sustainable development and change doesn't just come from the government or the business
community, we are inviting business leaders, university students, government officials, and the public to join us
for this event. We have invited a broad range of experts and business leaders from Vancouver, Canada that represent green en-
trepreneurship, green building, renewable energy, sustainable tourism, education in sustainable management, and the public sector.

to showcase their businesses and future projects to the public. With the theme of the habitat fair this one-day conference will
have a focus of green construction, along with green business, and sustainable tourism.

Friday, July 8th—Sunday, July 10th, 2011
In the Guayaquil Tennis Club, Ecuador won both of the first two singles matches against Canada in the
Americas Zone Group 1 of the Davis Cup on Friday, July 8th, to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five
competition. However, Canada rebounded, tying the competition, with a win in the next day’s doubles
match, followed by two straight-sets wins on Sunday's reverse doubles to win the competition. First,
Vasek Pospisil from Canada, was defeated by Ivan Endara 6-3, 6-4, 6-7(6), 6-3 in the singles opener at
the Guayaquil Tennis Club, while Vancouver’s Philip Bester fell to Ecuador’s Julio-Cesar Campozano 7-6(4), 6-7(4), 7-5, 6-2. The
next day, in doubles, Pospisil and doubles veteran Daniel Nestor, kept Canada’s hopes alive as they defeated the doubles team of
Roberto Quiroz and Emilio Gomez. Finally, Pospisil and Bester both won their singles matches on Sunday, winning the competi-
tion for Canada. It was the first time in Canada’s Davis Cup history that they had been down 0-2 and made a comeback.
