LOGIC FOR BFP #1:

BFP #1 shall be started in Auto/Manual mode, when BFP #1 shall be selected in remote mode of operation. Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

BFP #1 shall be switched on in auto mode, only when the following conditions are satisfied:

a. BFP #1 standby selected. b. BFP #2 is running & BFP #2 discharge pressure low or BFP #3 is running and BFP #3 discharge pressure low c. BFP #2 tripped or BFP #3 tripped. d. Deaerator level not low. e. DP across suction strainer BFP #1 not high. f. BFP #1 suction manual valve opened.

BFP#1 shall be switched on manually, only when the following conditions are satisfied:

a. Deaerator level not low. b. DP across suction strainer BFP #1 not high. c. BFP #1 suction manual valve shall be opened. d. BFP#1 Start Push Button Pressed.

BFP #1 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the following conditions are occurred:

a. Deaerator level very low. b. DP across suction strainer BFP #1 is high. c. BFP #1 bearing temperatures are very high. d. BFP #1 motor bearing temperatures are very high. e. BFP #1 motor winding temperatures are very high.

LOGIC FOR BFP #2:

BFP #2 shall be started in Auto/Manual mode, When BFP # 2 shall be selected in remote mode of operation. Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only. BFP #2 shall be switched on in auto mode, only when the following conditions are satisfied:

a. BFP #2 standby selected. b. BFP #1 is running BFP #1 discharge pressure low or BFP#3 is running and BFP #3 discharge pressure low. c. BFP #1 tripped or BFP #3 tripped. d. Deaerator level not low.

BFP #2 shall be switched on manually, only when the following conditions are satisfied:

a. Deaerator level not low. b. DP across suction strainer BFP #2 not high. c. BFP #2 suction manual valve opened. d. BFP#2 Start Push Button Pressed

BFP #2 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the following conditions occurred:

a. Deaerator level very low. b. DP across suction strainer #2 is high. c. BFP #2 bearing temperatures are very high. d. BFP #2 motor bearing temperatures are very high. e. BFP #2 motor winding temperatures are very high.

LOGIC FOR BFP #3:

BFP #3 shall be started in Auto/Manual mode, when BFP #1 shall be selected in remote mode of operation. Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

BFP #3 shall be switched on in auto mode, only when the following conditions occurred:

a. BFP #3 standby selected. b. BFP #1 is running and BFP #1 discharge pressure low or BFP#2 is running and BFP #2 discharge pressure low c. BFP #1 or BFP #2 tripped. d. Deaerator level not low. e. DP across suction strainer BFP #3 not high. f. BFP #3 suction manual valve opened.

LOGIC FOR ID FAN #1:

ID fan #1 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. ID Fan #1 inlet guide vane closed. b. ID Fan #1 remote selected. c. ID fan #1 start PB pressed.

ID fan #1 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the following conditions are occurred:

a. ID fan #1 motor bearing temperatures are very high. b. ID fans #1 bearing temperatures are very high. c. ID fan #1 motor winding temperatures are very high.

LOGIC FOR ID FAN #2:

ID fan #2 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred:

Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. ID Fan #2 inlet guide vane closed. b. ID Fan #2 remote selected. c. ID fan #2 start PB pressed.

ID fan #2 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the following conditions are occurred:

a. ID fan #2 motor bearing temperatures are very high. b. ID fans #2 bearing temperatures are very high. c. ID fan #2 motor winding temperatures are very high.

LOGIC FOR FD FAN #1:

FD fan #1 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred:

FD fan #1 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the following conditions are occurred:

a. Drum level very low. b. Furnace pressure is very high. c. Both the emergency PB pressed. d. Both the ID fans stopped. e. FD fan #1 bearing temperatures are very high. f. FD fan #1 motor bearing temperatures are very high. g. FD fan #1 motor winding temperatures are very high.

LOGIC FOR FD FAN #2:

FD fan #2 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

LOGIC FOR SA FAN #1:

SA fan # 1 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. Any one of the FD fan is running. b. Any one of the ID fan is running. c. SA fan #1 remote selected. d. SA fan #1 start PB pressed e. SA fan #1 inlet guide vane closed.

SA fan #1 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the following conditions are occurred:

a. SA fan #1 bearing temperatures are very high. b. SA fan #1 motor bearing temperatures are very high. c. SA fan #1 motor winding temperatures are very high. d. Both the ID fans stopped. e. Both the FD fans stopped.

LOGIC FOR SA FAN #2:

SA fan # 2 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. Any one of the FD fan is running. b. Any one of the ID fan is running. c. SA fan #2 remote selected. d. SA fan #2 start PB pressed e. SA fan #2 inlet guide vane closed.

Drum feeder # 1 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the following conditions are occurred:

a. Screw feeder #1 is not running. b. Furnace pressure is abnormal. f. Both the ID fans stopped. c. Both the FD fans stopped. d. Drum level is abnormal. e. Both the SA fans stopped.

LOGIC FOR DRUM FEEDER #2:

Drum feeder #2 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. Drum feeder #2 remote selected. b. Screw feeder #2 running c. Furnace pressure normal d. Any one of the ID fan is running. e. Any one of the FD fan is running. f. Drum level normal. g. Any one of the SA fan is running. h. Drum feeder #2 starts PB pressed.

LOGIC FOR HP DOSING PUMP #1:

HP Dosing pump #1 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. HP Dosing pump #1 remote selected. b. HP Dosing tank level not low. c. HP Dosing pump #1 start PB pressed.

HP Dosing pump #1 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the HP Dosing tank level becomes low.

LOGIC FOR HP DOSING PUMP #2:

HP Dosing pump #2 shall be started, only when the following conditions are satisfied:

a. HP Dosing pump #2 remote selected. b. HP Dosing tank level not low. c. HP Dosing pump #2 starts PB pressed.

HP Dosing pump #2 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the HP Dosing tank level becomes low.

LOGIC FOR LP DOSING PUMP #1:

LP Dosing pump #1 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. LP Dosing pump #1 remote selected. b. LP Dosing tank level not low. c. LP Dosing pump #1 start PB pressed.

LOGIC FOR LP DOSING PUMP #2:

LP Dosing pump #2 shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. LP Dosing pump #2 remote selected. b. LP Dosing tank level not low. c. LP Dosing pump #2 start PB pressed.

LP Dosing pump #2 shall be stopped automatically, either in remote mode or Local mode of operation, when the LP Dosing tank level becomes low.

LOGIC FOR HP DOSING STIRRER:

HP Dosing stirrer shall be started, only when the following conditions are occurred: Local / remote selection shall be from DCS only.

a. HP Dosing stirrer remote selected. b. HP Dosing stirrer start PB pressed.

HP Dosing stirrer shall be stopped automatically, when the stop push button pressed.

LOGIC FOR DEAERATOR OVERFLOW SOLENOID VALVE: Whenever the Level in deaerator becomes very high, which is sensed by Level switch LSHH – 502, overflow solenoid valve shall be energized. And water shall be dumped to DM water tank.
