3 So Moshe and Aharon came to Pharaoh and said to him, “So said יהוה Elohim of the Hebrews: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, and they will serve me. 4 For if you refuse to let them go, behold, tomorrow I am going to bring locusts into your borders.

Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)

5 And they shall cover the surface of the land, and no one will be able to see the land. And they shall eat the surviving remnant, which remains for you from the hail, and they shall eat all your trees that grow out of the field.

Page 4: Bo

Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)6 And your houses and the houses of all your servants and the houses of all the Mitsrites will be filled, which your fathers and your fathers’ fathers did not see since the day they were on the earth until this day.’ ” Therewith, he turned and left Pharaoh.7 Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long will this one be a stumbling block to us? Let the people go and they will serve their Elohim. Don't you yet know that Mitsrayim is destroyed?”

Page 5: Bo

Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)8 Thereupon, Moshe and Aharon were brought back to Pharaoh, and he said to them, "Go, serve יהוה your Elohim. Who and who are going?”9 Moshe said, “With our youth and with our elders we will go, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our cattle we will go, for it is a festival of the יהוה to us.”

10 So he Pharaoh said to them, “So may יהוה be with you, just as I will let you and your little ones out! See that evil is before your faces. 11 Not so; let the men go now and serve יהוה, for that is what you request." And he chased them out from before Pharaoh.

said to Moshe, “Stretch forth your hand over the land of יהוה 12Mitsrayim for the locusts, and they will swarm over the land of Mitsrayim, and they will eat all the vegetation of the land, all that the hail has left over.”

Page 8: Bo

Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10)13 So Moshe stretched forth his rod over the land of Mitsrayim, and יהוה brought an east wind in the land all that day and all the night. By the time it was morning, the east wind had brought the locusts. 14 The locusts went up over all the land of Mitsrayim and settled within all the territory of Mitsrayim, very grievous. There had never been so many locusts, nor would there be so many again.

Page 9: Bo

Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10)15 They covered the surface of all the land, so that the land was darkened. And they ate every plant of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left. Thus nothing green was left on tree or plant of the field through all the land of Mitsrayim.16 Pharaoh hastened to summon Moshe and Aharon, and he said, “I have sinned against יהוה your Elohim and against you.

Page 10: Bo

Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10)17 But now, forgive now my sin only this time and entreat יהוה your Elohim, and let him remove from me just this death.”18 So he Moshe left Pharaoh and prayed. 19 And יהוה changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which took up the locusts and blew them into the Sea of Suf. Not one locust was left within all the territory of Mitsrayim. 20 But יהוה hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Isra’el go out.

Page 11: Bo

Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10) said to Moshe, “Stretch forth your hand toward the יהוה 21heavens, and there will be darkness over the land of Mitsrayim, and the darkness will become darker.” 22 So Moshe stretched forth his hand toward the heavens, and there was thick darkness over the entire land of Mitsrayim for three days. 23 They did not see each other, and no one rose from his place for three days, but for all the children of Isra’el there was light in their dwellings.

Page 12: Bo

Bo 3rd Portion (Exo 10)24 Pharaoh summoned Moshe and said, “Go, serve יהוה, but your flocks and your cattle shall be left. Your little ones may also go with you.”25 But Moshe said, “You too must give slaughterings and burnt offerings into our hands, and we will make them for יהוה our Elohim.

Page 13: Bo

Bo 3rd Portion (Exo 10)26 And also our livestock must go with us; not a single hoof will remain, for we will take from it to serve יהוה our Elohim, and we do not know how much we will serve יהוה until we come there.” hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he was unwilling to let יהוה 27them out. 28 Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Beware! You shall no longer see my face, for on the day that you see my face, you will die.”

Page 14: Bo

Bo 3rd Portion (Exo 10-11)29 Thereupon, Moshe said, “You have spoken rightly; I will no longer see your face.” said to Moshe, “I will bring one more plague upon יהוה 1Pharaoh and upon Mitsrayim; afterwards he will let you go from here. When he lets you out, he shall completely drive you out of here.

Page 15: Bo

Bo 3rd Portion (Exo 11)2 Please, speak into the ears of the people, and let them borrow, each man from his neighbour and each woman from her neighbour, silver objects and golden objects.” 3 (So יהוה gave the people favour in the eyes of the Mitsrites; also the man Moshe himself was highly regarded in in the land of Mitsrayim, both in the eyes of Pharaoh’s servants and in the eyes of the people.

Page 16: Bo

Bo 4th Portion (Exo 11)4 Moshe said, “So said יהוה: ‘At the dividing point of the night, I will go out into the midst of Mitsrayim, 5 and every first-born in the land of Mitsrayim shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, to the first-born of the female servant who is behind the millstones, and every first-born animal. 6 And there shall be a great cry throughout the entire land of Mitsrayim, such as there never has been and such as there shall never be again.

Page 17: Bo

Bo 4th Portion (Exo 11)7 But to all the children of Isra’el not one dog shall not even move its tongue against either man or beast, in order that you shall know how יהוה makes a distinction between Mitsrayim and Isra’el. 8 And all these servants of yours shall come down to me and prostrate themselves to me, saying, ‘Get out, you and all the people who are at your feet!’ And afterwards I shall go out.” Then he Moshe exited from Pharaoh with burning anger.

said to Moshe, “Pharaoh will not heed you, in order to יהוה 9multiply my wonders in the land of Mitsrayim.” 10 Moshe and Aharon had performed all these wonders before Pharaoh, but hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of יהוהIsra’el out of his land.

25 And it shall come to pass when you enter the land that יהוה will give you, as he promised, that you shall guard this service. 26 And it shall come to pass if your children say to you, ‘What is this service to you?’

Page 31: Bo

Bo 5th Portion (Exo 12)27 you shall say, ‘It is the Pesach [Passover] to יהוה, for he passed over the houses of the children of Isra’el in Mitsrayim when he smote the Mitsrites and delivered our households.’ ” And the people kneeled and prostrated themselves. 28 So the children of Isra’el went and did; as יהוה commanded Moshe and Aharon, so they did.

Page 32: Bo

Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)29 It came to pass at midnight, and יהוה smote all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sat on his throne, to the firstborn of the captive, who was in the dungeon, and all first-born animal. 30 Pharaoh arose in the night, he and all his servants and all the Mitsrites, and there was a great wailing in Mitsrayim, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

And go, serve יהוה as you have said. 32 Take your flocks and also your herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me.”33 The Mitsrites urged the people to hasten to send them out of the land, for they said, “We shall all be dead!”

Page 34: Bo

Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)34 So the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading bowls wrapped in the clothing on their shoulders. 35 And the children of Isra’el did according to the word of Moshe and they asked from the Mitsrites objects of silver and objects of gold and clothing. 36 יהוה had given the people favour in the eyes of the Mitsrites, and they gave them such things as they required. 37 The children of Isra’el journeyed from Ra‘amses to Sukkot, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, besides the little ones. 38 And also, a mixed multitude went up with them, and flocks and cattle, even very much livestock.

Page 36: Bo

Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)39 They baked the dough that they had brought out of Mitsrayim as matzah cakes, for it had not leavened, for they were driven out of Mitsrayim, and they could not tarry, and also, they had not made provisions for themselves.40 And the sojourn of the children of Isra’el, that they lived in Mitsrayim, was four hundred and thirty years.
