OVERVIEW
First aid is a very crucial part of medical practice since it will deal with the most urgent cases in the field. Even from their very first time in medical school, students are not exceptional from being asked to perform first aid. Therefore it is very important for medical students to cover up first aid from the very beginning.
The first aid course will be studied within a week and comprises of lectures and clinical skill laboratories. The course is intended to give the students basic first aid knowledge and skills that will be needed and better equip the students as part of health care provider.
FIRST AID 2
This block will be delivered in parallel system where the students are divided into two classes, and each class will be taught simultaneously. Because of the time limitation, the clinical skill laboratory will be done right after the lectures and demonstration. In the clinical skill laboratory, the students will be divided into small groups which will be directed by a tutor.
This block is implemented under the following main region, i.e. respiratory emergency, bleeding and shock, musculoskeletal injury, head and spinal in jury, and other emergency cases.
