What is a blender?
Today's household blenders are small electrical appliances comprised of a tall canister with interior blades that chop, grind and liquefy food and drinks.

• Stephen Poplawski receives full credit for inventing the first liquefier blender back in 1922. He was the first inventor to place blades that spin at the base of a container.

• Orange Julius is a drink that was invented by a man named Julius Freed in 1926 in Los Angeles, California.

Orange Julius Recipe
Ingredients:•1 can frozen orange juice (6 oz.)•1 cup milk•1 cup water•¼ cup sugar•1 teaspoon vanilla•6-8 ice cubes

Procedures:
• 1. In blender container combine orange juice with milk, sugar, and vanilla; blend until smooth and frothy
• 2. Add ice cubes; chop them using the
pulsing “chop” button
