TranStar® handles like a vehicle half its size – thanks in part to an electronic stability program that precisely monitors wheel movement to maintain the lateral stability of the vehicle.

Superior Visibility

Drivers will love the expansive view. They sit higher and see more from side-to-side thanks to the huge, curved windshield and side glass. Our engineers even repositioned the A-pillar to achieve maximum visibility. And if that wasn’t enough, they added C-looped mirrors for greater rigidity and outstanding rear and lateral coverage. Fender mirrors may also be attached for even more visibility.

Wherever possible, blind spots have been minimized. All contributing to a safer, more comfortable driving experience.

We’ve made it easier to be seen as well. TranStar operates on a “lights on” condition with additional courtesy lights for visual safety in dark and dim conditions.

BUILT FOR MAXIMUMJOB SATISFACTION

Interior Creature Comfort

Drivers will appreciate the roomy feel of the TranStar’s cab. A generous 6-feet tall and 82" wide, the cab is scaled and appointed to maximize driver comfort. Everything has been well thought-out – like calculating the perfect angle and distance between the seat and the foot pedals. And the inclusion of an optional tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel reduces vibration and, ultimately, driver fatigue.

Silence is Golden

Cab noise and vibration have been reduced by introducing a taper leaf front suspension and by mounting the cab on rubber bushings. There is little interruption from the back, thanks to a variable-rate rear suspension that provides greater handling stability and ride. Add air suspension seats and one of the quietest diesel engines available, and you can see why this is one of the most driver-centric regional haul vehicles in its class.

The extended cab configuration offers an available 26" wide bunk.

Aerodynamics

Even if you’re not going very far, a smart aerodynamic design makes for a more efficient vehicle over time. By making fine adjustments to small things like sunshades, mirrors, bumpers, seals, windshield angle, under-cab modesty panel, sloped hood and our patented pod roofing fairings, we’ve tweaked the aerodynamics of the TranStar to make it remarkably efficient.
