Transformation
Posted: May 28, 2013 01:00 am
Loving God with our whole being, loving our neighbors as ourselves: there is
transformative power in love that is truly miraculous. We may rightly even fear
the transforming power of love, the life-changing miracle that can transform even
these poor hearts of ours.

• Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,That saved a wretch like me.I once was lost but now am found,Was blind, but now I see.
• T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.And Grace, my fears relieved.How precious did that Grace appearThe hour I first believed.
• Through many dangers, toils and snaresI have already come;'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus farand Grace will lead me home.
• The Lord has promised good to me.His word my hope secures.He will my shield and portion be,As long as life endures.
• When we've been here ten thousand yearsBright shining as the sun.We've no less days to sing God's praiseThan when we've first begun

• 1. Let there be light,
let there be understanding,
let all the nations gather,
let them be face to face.
• 2. Open our lips,
open our minds to ponder,
open the door of concord
opening into grace.
• 3. Perish the sword,
perish the angry judgment,
perish the bombs and hunger, perish the fight for gain.
• 4. Hallow our love,
hallow the deaths of martyrs,
hallow their holy freedom,
hallowed be your name.
• 5. Your kingdom come,
your Spirit turn to language,
your people speak together,
your Spirit never fade.
• 6. Let there be light,
open our hearts to wonder, perish the way of terror,
hallow the world God made.
