Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin was born on Sunday January 6th,1706.Andwas very talented as was a diplomat, an inventor, a statesman, a
writer, a publisher,a musician and a.......SPY!?
Well,that was a shock wasn't it? It was to me when I first read
it,but it's true. Ben Franklin was a spy, but don't let this hinderyour confidence in him. And don't forget all the great deeds he
has done to help America, simply because he was a spy.
Like George Washington, Ben Franklin didn't have much formalschooling so, being curious about the world around him young
Franklin taught himself what he was wanted to learn.Whichmight I add,helped him greatly in his roll as one of America's
greatest revolutionaries.Also,not many people knew of
Franklin's age when he started to realize the tyranny of Great
Britain, he was pretty old when he did all the great things he did,he was 70 years of age.
It is common knowledge that Franklin was an inventor,but few
people know what he invented exactly. So I will give you an

idea of what he invented; he invented the bifocals, the catheter,the Franklin stove, the glass harmonica, the lightning rod & the
odometer.
At the age of 70, Ben Franklin was the oldest delegate to signthe Declaration of Independence. In 1736 Franklin establishedthe first fire department ever! And in 1752 Franklin was
responsible for The First Fire Insurance Company
King George III

King George III was the King of Great Britain and lreland. Hewas born in London on June 4,1738 son of Federick Louis. He
ruled from 1760 to 1820. George did not want the colonies tobecome independent. During his rule he lost the colonies. After
losing the colonies George took it really hard. George's goal was
to rule as well as reign.
By 1763 George had regained many of the powers that the
previous king's had lost. George had a problem with hiis self-
confidence and the maturity to form any long-term policy. In
1765 George had suffered an apparent dementia and in 1788 helost his mind to such a degree that a regency bill was passed, but
he recovered the following year. George had inherited porphyria(a defect of the metabolism that may lead to delirium.) In 1809
the King became blind. In 1811 his son George IV acted as

regent for the rest of his reign. George died at Windsor Palaceon January 29, 1820.

George Washington was born in 1732. George was elected
President in 1789. Washington won a lasting place in Americanhistory as the "Father of our Country. " For almost 20 years, he
lead his country much like a father cares for a growing child.

There were three important ways Washington helped shape thebeginning of the United States. First, he commanded the
Continental Army that won American Independence from Great
Britain in the Revolutionary War. Second,Washington served aspresident of the convention that wrote the United StatesConstitution.Third, he was elected the very first President of the
United States.
At the age of twenty years old, George Washington had no
experience of training as a soldier. But Lawrence's war storieshad fascinated him in military affairs. More than 250 years ago,
America was part of the British Empire. The thirteen Americancolonies stretched down the Atlantic seacoast from Maine to
Georgia.
In 1749 Washington became an offical surveyor for Culpeper
County,Virginia. Washington died in 1799 at the age of 67.
