Final Product of portable Biogas Plant
I was always searching for new techniques to produce biogas from animal and kitchen organic
waste at house level suitable for any urban area
Most biogas digesters out there are floating dome design or fixed dome design biogas digesters.
In this manual you will discover how to build a very simple and useful Biogas plant
The biogas plant consists of two parts:
1st is the Digester tank and 2nd is the Gas holder tank
The digester tank, also called fermenter is the place where fermentation of manure takes place
and the biogas is produced.
The Digester tank is made from a 1000 liter water tank and the gas holder piece is made from a750 liter plastic water tank.
I also used PVC pipe for the inlet and outlet pieces.
Here’s the concept of the Biogas Plant:

Step 2 Making the inlet Pipe.
Take the PVC pipe and put it on the side of tank like in the picture below. Make a circle the
exact same diameter of the pvc pipe with a pencil.
