Nanogenerators are made up of an assembly of ZnO nanowires.

Nanogenerators come in two types of structures:
VING (Vertical nanowire array Integrated Nanogenerator)
LING(Lateral-nanowire-array Integrated Nanogenerator)

Working Principle
Nanogenerators work on the principle of “Piezoelectricity”.

Mechanism of Bio Nanogenerator
The mechanism of bio nanogenerator is
much the same how the body generates energy from food.
To achieve the effect, an enzyme is used that is capable of stripping glucose of its electrons, freeing them for use in electrical devices.
