Robin J. Glebes, PE Captain, US Army » [email protected] purdue.edu/cmsc BIO Captain Robin Glebes graduated from West Virginia University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering. Upon graduation, he commissioned as an Engineer Officer and attended the Basic Officer Leadership Course II and the Engineer Officer Basic Course. Captain Glebes deployed to Iraq in 2008–2009, where he served as a Platoon Leader for the 26 th Concrete Detachment of the 84 th Engineer Battalion. He also served as Brigade Engineer Planner for the 1 st Armored Brigade Combat Team in South Korea from 2012-2013. He has additionally served in various engineering and leadership roles with the 196 th Infantry Brigade in Hawaii, culminating in a company command. He completed his Master’s of Science in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2012. He obtained his Professional Engineer license in 2015. In 2016, he was one of two Army officers selected to participate in the Purdue Military Research Initiative, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Purdue. Captain Glebes’ awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (#4), and the Parachutist Badge. Captain Robin Glebes graduated from West Virginia University in 2007

with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering. Upon graduation,

he commissioned as an Engineer Officer and attended the Basic Officer

Leadership Course II and the Engineer Officer Basic Course.

Captain Glebes deployed to Iraq in 2008–2009, where he served as a
