In spite of the global financial crisis, the 26th edition of the International Machine-Tool Exhibition, held from 31 May until 5 June 2010, achieved an unexpected success.
The attending firms showcased the state-of-the-art innovations and developments in machinery and technology. In addition, more than 35,000 professional visitors from 54 countries established significant contacts and reached relevant business deals.
Companies with great purchasing power from domestic and international strategic markets attended the venue. For instance, some European countries like Portugal, France, Germany, Turkey and Switzerland were present. Moreover, other countries such as India, Argentina, Russia, Brazil, Maghreb, Chile, Israel, China and Mexico were also represented. On the domestic front, besides the Basque Autonomous Community, other regions like Catalonia, Madrid, Castile and Leon and Navarre were also there.
The event also received institutional support at the highest level. The official opening was chaired by Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, the Basque Premier Patxi Lopez and other authorities, which confirms the relevance of the International Machine-Tool Exhibition.

27BIEMH 2012NEXT APPOINTMENT WITH INNOVATIONThe new edition of the International Machine-Tool Exhibition has already been scheduled for 28 May until 2 June 2012.
The event, jointly organised by Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) and the Spanish Association of Machine-Tool Manufacturers (AFM), is a must for this sector, bringing together global benchmark manufacturers and distributors. In fact, the BIEMH is regarded as the third most relevant exhibition in Europe in this field.
The 27th edition of BIEMH intends to become a top-level meeting point regarding technology and innovation in the sector. Both exhibitors and visitors will find a perfect framework to get to know and showcase the latest services and technologies, and to settle new trade relations.
