BIDSTRUP FOUNDATION AND BARRETT RESEARCH UNDERGRADUATE FELLOWS GRANT APPLICATION 2018 2019 Through the Bidstrup Foundation and Barrett Research Undergraduate Fellows Program, students and faculty may partner to apply for research funding. Any student with financial need, who is engaging in research or creative work with a faculty member at ASU, may apply with that faculty person for funding to conduct work under his or her direction. The program is designed to help students who both want to carry out scholarly work under the tutelage of a faculty member and are required to earn money to address their financial need (such need is measured by whether the student is eligible to receive financial aid, which is separate from merit aid). All funding is for hourly salaried work. None is available for equipment, supplies, or travel. Award Student-faculty teams from any discipline may apply for a grant up to $2,000. The award is disbursed to the student once the hiring process is complete and is paid bi-weekly during the research period. Eligibility To be eligible, the application team must include a student in good standing within Barrett and an ASU faculty person with whom the student will work on research. Selected Fellows must supply a brief project report and may be asked to publicly present their project/research. Criteria Applications should include a cover page (second page of this application which must be signed by faculty and student) a student resume or CV, and a one-page project description that includes expected number of hours of work per week, hourly pay rate between $10- 14 per hour and the number of weeks of expected work (that total should not exceed $2000).
