The School Administrator role in FCPS 24-7 Learning provides identified administrative staff the ability to access and search all available courses associated with their school’s three digit code.

• Search or Browse their school’s courses by course ID, course name, course description, and teacher name. Only courses that are available to students will display in search results.
• View course content, announcements, staff information, communication tools and student tools by clicking on course menu buttons.
• Open and save documents. • Collaborate in a course, provided the blogs, wikis and
discussion boards are available.• View course statistics
– Reports by Overall Summary of Usage, Accesses by Content Area, Accesses by Groups or Accesses by Forum.
– Filter search results by date, all users or selected users.
• Search or Browse their school’s courses by course ID, course name, course description, and teacher name. Only courses that are available to students will display in search results.

Add parent name and address information
Parent information must be in and match exactly what is in Search and Manage SASI Upload. Only relationships of Mother, Father, Legal Guardian or Foster Parent can register for an account. If information is incorrect in Search and Manage SASI Upload, the parent must contact the school.
An email address must be entered to be able to proceed.
Add parent name and address info2 Errors that may occur
Error #1 – Bad Parent Name and/or Address Data has been entered. If error persists, escalate to the FCPS ITFASTeam.
Error #2 – Parent has already registered the account and needs to go to the school to validate. Check Search and Manage SASI Upload Status field. If further assistance is needed, escalate to the FCPS ITFASTeam.
Add child information for first child
Parent matches at least one student in FCPS.
Student information can be found on report cards or the parent must call the school. Only the school can give out the student’s information.

Student information is incorrect or the parent is not associated with the child in FCPS 24-7 Learning. Only relationships of Mother, Father, Legal Guardian or Foster Parent can register for a Parent View account. Only the school can give out the student’s information. If parent is entering the correct information and the error persists, escalate to the FCPS ITFASTeam.

Parent must click Agree to proceed with registration and receive Unique Key.
Parent Receives Unique ID
The parent is instructed to take the unique key and a photo ID to the school to validate the account. An email is also sent to the parent with this information. If the parent did not receive the email, have them check their filters, junk mail or SPAM. The email will be from [email protected]. Schools can still validate the account without the unique key if the parent has lost or misplaced it.
Parent View Account Creation ProcessPart II: The School Support Validation
The parent will take the unique key and a photo ID to the school. The school will login with their Support Account and complete the validation process. The school will check the parent’s photo ID and give the parent their username at this time. A temporary password will be sent to the email address that the parent used during the registration process. If the parent forgets their username, they will be instructed to call 1-866-434-8880. If the parent did not receive the email, have them check their filters, junk mail or SPAM. The email will be from [email protected].
NOTE: If the parent has lost or forgotten the unique key, the school can still validate the account.
Parent View Account Creation ProcessPart III: Parent Logs on to Parent View at http://fcps.blackboard.com
The parent will login for the first time using the username the school provided and the temporary password that was emailed to them. They will be forced to change their password during their first time login.
NOTE: If the parent did not receive the email, have them check their filters, junk mail or SPAM. The email will be from [email protected].
My FCPS Parent Tab
Parents can add other children that are associated with them in Search and Manage SASI Upload. If a child is not associated with the parent in Search and Manage SASI Upload, escalate to the FCPS ITFASTeam.
My Family Module
Parents can access:• School websites by clicking on the school name• Courses the student is enrolled in and has been made available by the teacher by clicking the students name
The yellow post it shows that there has been a new announcement posted in one of the students available courses in the last 7 days.
Accessing the School’s Website
Parents can access: School websites by clicking on the school name for school news and information.
List of courses the student is enrolled in and has been made available by the teacher
Parents can see all available courses, the instructors for each course and links to any new announcements. To see the course the parent will click on the course name. To get back to the My FCPS Parent home page, they can either click the tab “My FCPS Parent” or click “OK”.

Parents will have access to the following areas:
•Announcements•Staff Information •Content areas
Parents will not see:•Grades•Attendance•Organizations•Any communications such as, Wikis, Blogs Podcast or Discussion Boards
Parents will be able to see what the Homework assignment is, but will not be able to open it. They will receive “Access Denied”.
My Information Module
Parents can change their email address and password. Changing their email address here only changes it in FCPS 24-7 Learning. It DOES NOT change it in their emergency care information at the school for Keep In Touch.
weCare@School Module
Parents can update their children’s emergency information through weCare@school. Updating weCare with the correct email address will ensure better communication via Keep in Touch. If parents cannot access weCare@school, escalate to the FCPS ITFASTeam.
Family Connection Module
Parents can view their high school student’s educational, career and college planning. If parents cannot access Family Connection, escalate to the FCPS ITFASTeam.

FCPS uses this module to communicate any across the board information to parents.

Parents can add modules to their My FCPS Parent tab by checking the box and clicking on Submit. They will not be able to remove any module that is checked in RED.
