• Main objective: enabling and supporting the structural change from industrial society to information society in Berlin
• Best example for the tremendous success of EFRD for the ICT, media and creative industries
1997: 2006: 65,000 employees 190,000 7,500 enterprises 24,500
turnover 21 Billion ۥ 2006: ICT and CI = 16 % of Berlin`s GDP
• About 3 million € EFRD effected at least 300 million € investments of other subsidy programmes (ProFIT etc) and private investments
