The Future…
• Proposed Regional Policy Statement requires Rotorua N discharges to reduce to 435 tonnes – about a 50% reduction from current agricultural losses
• New rules are being developed for Lake Rotorua with stakeholder consultation
• Measurement, allocation and reduction options all under consideration
• Incentive fund will assist farmers with compliance
